After the entertainment the drawing for the um brella took place and it was won by Mrs. Thomas Watkins of Parker street David Lloyd and John Evans were arrested by officer Saltry last evening for fighting on the public streets. were arrested on West Market street, near the Puritan Congregational church and had succeeded in drawing a large crowd to witness their pugilistic encounter, who were shouting loud ly and urging the principals on. The officer dispersed the crowd and succeeded in locking up the fighters.

Both men presented badly bruised faces. Alderman Roberts gave the men a hearing and fined Lloyd four dollars, which he paid. Evans was locked up in default of a six dollar fine. Mary Masterson of Charles street used language that was insulting to Mary Keegan and as a result she was arraigned before Alderman Roberts last evening and was discharged.
