SfT 1 PAGE 10 II A WS-TRI 0 SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1022 Crippled Bears Country Williamson Star of Big Clash Ralph Pittman Scintillates With Run Through Team; Bradshaw Is Missed hut Bears Play Right On; Will Enter Turkey Day Battle Without Defeat By Jinx Tucker Newf-Tnhune Sporting Editor STILL WAT EH, Nov. 18 Williamson, the 195- pound Baylor lad that made Fort Smith, famous, slashed and crashed the Baylor Bears to a brilliant 10 to 0 victory over the Oklahoma here today. Baylor missed Wesley Bradshaw, but Strickland proved a genius in generalahip, and Ralph Pittman, who played half in lieu of htriekland, turned in a magnificent game. Baylor has not played a better defensive Ramp this season, and it is due to the great game along this line that the Baylorites will go into their Thanksgiving battle undefeated in the conference. The end runs of the Tigers were smeared, their aerial attack completely halted, and their record for the day was four first downs, and not once during the entire game did the fighting Stillwater eleven, spurred on by 3000 partisan fans, carry the ball within Baylor's 40-yard line.

Pittman Dashes 43 Yards It was Cop Weathers who by a pretty kick from placement in the second period the Bears a lead of three points which grew bigger and bigger as the stubbornly fought contest progressed. Ralph Pittman had a large dish in those precious three points, which for a time threatened to be the total for the day. Standing on his own 30-yard line, Gaddies of Oklahoma punted HO yards to Ralph Pittman. The punt was low and Pittman, catching the ball on the run, zig-zagsrcd his way 43 yards before being downed on the Oklahoma 25-yard line. Then up stepped Williamson to play a stellar role.

Tanner and Williamson made a first down, hut now the local defense stiffened and Weathers dropped back to the line to make the goal from placement for the first score of the game anti the only three points of the half.

The touchdown which brought the score to 10 came in the final period on as neat a bit of field generalship as has been turned in by Baylor this year. Strickland was downed after receiving a punt in mid-field. Then came the first sustained drive of the game, a drive for 50 yards and a touchdown. F. Sonneman following resolution adopted by the Waco Rotary club: When the Waco football for the current year is recognised by the people of Waco and on through made a five. A trick pass, Burch to J. Pittman, gave the Bears a first down, and then Williamson reeled off eight. Tanner made a first down.

Baylor was penalized five yards. On the fourth down with five to go, a beautiful pass was completed, Tanner to Williamson, which carried the ball eight yards to the 6 yard lice. Pittman Over for Touchdown Here the line of the Aggies stiffened and withstood two direct assaults. Changing his tactics, Strickland sent Ralph Pittman crashing through for five yards on a split buck and the same play netted a touchdown on the fourth down. Not an Oklahgman even so much as touching Pittman.

Strickland kicked the goal. The Oklahoma team launched an aerial attack following this score and completed its only pass of the game for 22 yards and a fake pass on which Gaddis carried the ball gave the locals a first down on the Baylor 45-yard line, which was as close as they came to the Baylor goal during the game. Here the game ended as Kirk intercepted an Oklahoma pass on Baylor's 40-yard line. Kirk Plays 8uperb Football George Kirk never played a better game in a Baylor uniform. His defensive work was superb and he was a terror on the offense.

Kirk aided the back field to a marked extent in breaking up vaunted aerial attack of the Oklahomans. IJ intercepted two of the three intercepted by the Bears, B. Pittman catching the other from a sitting posture. Of the 15 passes attempted by the locals only one was completed and that for 22 yards toward the close of the game, deep in their territory. Baylor tried six passes, three being grounded aud three being completed for a total of 33 yards.

It was the consensus of opinion here that the Oklahoma team played its best game of the season today. With two weeks rest th-e Aggies were primed for the Bears and fought every inch of the way. Captain Etheridge at tackle played a stellar role while Gaddis also turned in a well played game, both on the offensive and defensive. Tanner, Pittman and Striealand did the punting for the Bears, averaging about 35 yards, while Gaddies of the Aggies had an average of about the same distance. Not Punt Blocked by Either Team Not a punt was blocked during the game by either team.

Baylor suffered only 10 yards in penalties, white the Aggies were penalized 35 yards. Sweeney and Jaeobson turned in the best offieialed game in which the Bears have taken part this season. Baylor made only one substitution during the game, Hartzog going in for Goodman in the first quarter, and the former played a brilliant game. The Bears will leave Stillwater Sunday morning arriving in Waco about 7 o'clock Monday morning on the Cotton Belt.
