Naval Reserve Surface Division 8-107 in Waco will be sending four Naval Reservists Col. Havens Gets Medal And Retires Lt. Col. John J. Havens, who has served in the U.S.

Air Force ihf past 25 jears. was awarded Army Commendation Medal this week at the time of his retirement. in Clairette. he is the son of Mrs. I.

Havens of Gairet- te. After graduating from Carlton High School, he attended the University of Omaha. He whs assigned to the Military Tratfie Management and Terminal Service with the duties of Special Assistant to the Director of Personal Property Traffic before retiring. Col. Havens is one of few officers honored by all thiee services.

Among his awards and decorations are the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic- Pacific Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, the American Campaign Medal, a Presidential Unit Citation, the National Defense Service Medal with additiorr.il Bronze Service Longevity Service Award with four bronze oak leaf clusters. James Edward Milstead, son of Mr and Mrs. George E. Milstead of Route 1, Waco, recently came home on leave. Fireman Fagg was home after having served eight months duty on the U.S.S. Nereus AS-17.

He is now attending classes at the S. Navy Nuclear Power School at Mare Island, Calif Pvt. Milstead came home from Fort Eusta, Vo. He is a recent graduate of Seaman and Engineers Corp and he is a 1965 Richfield High School graduate. for two active duty the next few days.

Harrison received the medal for his service as Chief of the Direct Air Support Division in the Directorate of Tactical Air Control Systems at the headquarters from July 1964 to August 1965 and from April 1966 to July 1967. Maj. Anderson received his medal for distinguished service as the Chief of the Requirements Branch of the Engineering Programs Division at Headquarters 13th Air Force in Southeast Asia, from May 11965 to May 1967.
