This latter point is mentioned, not in defense of myself, for never have I spent a thousand dollars for a suite. AND so, what Is the difference between paying a thousand dollars for a steamer suite on a year when royality is only shaking hands with attendants at an' in dustrial fair, and paying $50 a day for a room with bath in a London hotel in a year when the king really bedecks himself In tradi tional feathers and gives the populace a peep of their taxes in the act of being spent?
