Freeman, now in his seventh term ot Council service, told The Register yesterday that he, too, thinks Beckley should have a city manager. "I have always thought a ciiy manager (form of gov- ernment), it properly administered, would be good for any ciiy," said Freeman, xvho has served on the Council under both Democratic and Republican mayors (he is a Democrat). FREEMAN THUS added his voice to those of the other four members of the present Council who last week said Beckley could not meet the peoples' needs under "part-time" city administration.
