Group Two Complete courses for students who have had commercial training in high schools. Group Three Complete courses are offered for students who have had only one or two commercial subjects in high school.

Night School To Open Sept. 14 Those Who Desire To Register Should Report At College Then Beckley college conducts a night school for students who desire commercial subjects. for )oys and girls who are in jobs and vish a refresher course in typing, ihorthand or bookkeeping. These night school commercial courses meet on Monday and Thursday nights starling at seven o'clock and students interested report to the college Sep- 14 at seven o'clock. Arts, Science Credit Not Lost Students May Transfer to Senior Colleges Easily Beckley college's arts and courses are arranged.in such a manner that a student may elect any subject desired and avoid loss of credit.

The college arranges the courses of each of its students in the arts and sciences' to meet the require- menls of the schools'in which they expect to. complete the final two years of their undergraduate study. A limit of 64 hours credlfis placed on the work a may complete in two -yers. Upon completion of two years at Beckley college a student may transfer his arts and science credit to any other college or university. The Beckley College Welding School Is not only the largest war production defense training weldinr school in West Virginia, but it Is continuing to send weld- ers to shipyards at the rate of about fifty per month. All of the Beckley College Welding School activities are devoted exclusively to the in- struction of electric welding which leads to electric welding jobs in the shipbuilding yards of the nation.

Hundreds have already re- ported to the shipyards and are in important big pay welding jobs. The college maintains direct contact with shipyard officials and I). K. Shroyer is acting as coordinator between the shipyards ami the welding school. Proof of the quality of the men turned out for the war production program is shown by the fact that Beckley College leads the state.

The collegers now operating twenty-three welding machines in three different welding shops. These shops are new and are equipped with individual welding booths. The Beckley College Welding School trains (he welders on Lincoln, Westinghouse, Hobart, Wilson and Smith machines using a wide variety of kinds and sizes of electrodes. The course also includes thorough instruction in the theory of welding and blueprint reading. A student can register in this course any time day or night.
