One such organization is the Southern Queens Park Association. The Southern Queens Park Association is a multi-faceted organization which serves the 300,000 people of southern Queens, an area encompassing South Jamaica, Rochdale Village, St. Albans, Cambria Heights, Springfield Gardens, Laurelton, South Ozone Park and Rosedale. The organization operates the 54-acre Roy Wilkins Park and its 50,000 square foot Family Center. Once the site of an abandoned Navy hospital, the complex now houses a swimming pool, theater, health center, gym, cafeteria and seniors' center.
