Next Tuesday night they will sing for the American Legion Post and Auxiliary of Clifton, afterward leading the entire group of listeners in the traditional Christmas carols. The Legion has invited the choir to sing for the district convention which meets in Clifton some time in January. Two December appearances have also been slated.

The men will render two selections at the annual Christmas pageant which is staged by Clifton Junior College, Dec. 17. On the following night, the choir will lead the entire Clifton community in a Christmas songfest at the City Hall. Dec. result of an increasing demand for buildings in which to operate by industries sinking locations in Hillsboro, the Chamber of Commerce has authorized its president, Will Bond, to name a committee to work out the organization of an Industrial foundation, similar to those in East Texas, to build or otherwise provide quarters for Industries seeking locations. 4 -SPL W. Hartgrove, 82, father of Mrs. Lee Faulkner, died in a Marlin hospital at 5:40 p. m. Tuesday.

Dec. 2, following an illness of about a year. He had been hospitalized here for a week. The was born at Elkmont, Limestone County, in October 18fi5. He came to Texas In 1910 and settled first in East Texas and then moved to Troy in 1912.

He' was active as a brick mason in Central Texas and also engaged in farming. He had lived at Midland about a year before coming to Marlin about two months ago. Funeral services were held in Temple at 4 p. m. Wednesday, Rev.

F. P. Goddard of Marlin officiating, assisted by the pastor of the Seventh Street Church of Temple. Burial was in the cemetery at Troy. Surviving are one son, Eugene Hartgrove, Temple; four daughters, Mrs.

Lee Faulkner and Mrs. G. C. Clem, both of Marlin, Mrs. G.

Jackson, Hillsboro postmaster and chairman of the Cotton Research Congress, declared here Tuesday night that this nation is facing a drastic shortage of cotton during the next two or three years.

Dec.

4 Reinhojd Wieting, 77, prominent Falls County farmer and pioneer citizen of the Perry community, died in a Marlin hospital, at 3 p. m. Tuesday following an illness of about a year. Born near Springfield, 111., Oct. 6, 1870, he moved to Falls County and settled between Perry and Otto, where he engaged in farming during his lifetime.

Funeral services were held at 10 a. m. Thursday from the chapel of the Adams Funeral Home and followed by a service at the Perry Methodist Church at 11 a. m. conducted by the pastor, Rev.

D. E. McVey. Burial was in the Perry Methodist Church Cemetery. He had been a member of that church about half a century.

Surviving are his widow; Mrs. Olga Wieting, Route 1, Marlin; two sons, John Wieting of Austin and Nelson Wieting of Route 1, Marlin; two daughters, Mrs. E. A. Schreiber of Nome, and Mrs.

Carl Dreyer of Riesel; one brother, Fred Wieting of Route 1, Marlin; one sister, Mrs. Paul Baeuchle of Marlin; also five grandchildren. Cameroil Persotials Mrs. J. M.

The Business and Professional Women's Club held their regular business meeting Tuesday evening at their club rooms with the president, Mrs. Edith Starnes, presiding over the business session, where plans were completed for their annual Christmas party which will be held Tuesday evening, Dec.

16, at the club rooms. A chicken dinner will be served early in the evening, followed with the calling off of Christmas gifts from a tree, and games will be the diversion of the evening following the receiving of the gifts.
