CM By USA REIN Daily News StafTWriter The city's 33 outdoor pools and 22 above-ground minipools open for the summer tomorrow, and Parks Department officials are expecting a record number of swimmers this year. Swimmers will find new decks and lights at a dozen pools that were renovated during the winter. Security cameras will be in place at every pool for the second year running, to monitor any criminal activity or harassment Last summer, 1.4 million people splashed in the city's pools, up from 1.2 million in 1997. Parks officials attributed the increased attendance to better pool conditions. Close to 500 lifeguards, will be on duty at pools throughout the city, a full complement after years of lifeguard shortages.

There are also eight indoor pools open this summer. Below is a list of pools, plus do's and don'ts. MANHATIAN -S. .4. QUEENS Astoria Parte 19th St and 23rd Drive, Astoria (718) 330 165 Hit Asser Levy: E.
