rETTi4GtAV GOUU AMO 'TOO DARK TO jSTlU. NO TRACE ICO OM. rYp WHOA DlMMYl emiyr' New York, June 23. (AP) Stocks Jogged over an irregular terrain in today's market. Selected specialties managed to work higher by a point or so, and a few.

were up more, but minor declines were plentiful at the dose. Dealings dragged in comparison with the speedy performance of last week. Transfers were around shares. Sentiment was chilled a bit by action of Santa Fe directors in again deferring consideration of Interest on the companys 4 per cent adjustment bonds and omitting the semiannual dividend on the common due at this time. Both the common and the preferred Issues took a downward course after holding fairly well for a time after the directors had voted.

The bonds in question were resistant. Brokers seemed impressed with the fact that the so-called -correctional reactions were accomplished on relatively meager turnovers, thus Indicating to many that shareholders still expect good business and industrial recovery by fall at least. Government pump-priming was viewed as a sustaining influence. Bonds and commodities were uneven, the major staples inclined to give ground.
