UKCOUI COUNTY FARM, The regular quarterly meeting of the Lincoln County F. A. I. TJ. will be held January 19th.

1 S. SCOTT, The farmers of Lincoln county are beginning to realize the necessity for their stock and grain, and as fast as they are able are ornamenting their farms with good barns and sheds. Every year sees more buildings being erected than FEOM NOW The Scientific American published by Munn New York, presents weekly to its readers the best and most reliable record of various im provements in machinery, while the scientific progress of the country can in no way be gleaned so well as by the regular perusal of its pages. The publishers of the Homestead, the weekly twenty-four page agricultural paper of Des Moines, Iowa, edited by a practical farmer, informs us that they will send their paper from now until the 15th of January, 1S92, free of charge, to every farmer, not already a subscriber, who will send his name and address, plainly written on a postal card to the Homestead Des Moines, Iowa. The copies will be absolutely free, and will be sent to any fanner to enable him to judge for himself of the merits of the prsvious one, and it will be but the matter of a very few years un State Lecturer of the F.

A. I. will address the people of this county on the Demands of the People's party, in Lincoln, Wednesday, January 13th, 1892. The principle part of his lecture will be devoted to the Sub-Treasury plan. Every one who possibly can should be present and bear this noted speaker.

Lopshire of Beverly, was in the city on business last Tuesday. F. W. Herman has bought the Eacket store and taken possession of the same. Four weeks ago the supreme court of Kansas decided that when a person owned a farm having a mortgage upon it and a railroad purchased a right of way through said farm the owner could collect the money and the mortgagee not be consulted. This has been dona throughout the state of Kansas, and had the decision been the reverse, it would have involved thousands of cases and almost endless litigation.
