Molver of Yaquina was in the city Monday. He expects to open a shoe and harness repairing shop in Toledo in the nar future. We believe Mr. Molver will be appreciated. Dr.Wetmore's new gasoline launch is behaving beautifully.

It is rumored that somebody up in the vicinity of Elk City or Pioneer or somewhere is in danger of being ar rested for extreme cruelty to auimals, or practising without a license, or shoot ing out of season or something. Ed Altree, Rolla Gar, Bert Sawdon, Allen Hughes and Frank Stardevant hunted bear Monday and Tuesday near the eld Babcock place across the bay southeast of town.

The first day they killed a big jnamma bear, and on the followiug day they returned and cap tured alive a fiau cub. The latter was sold to Colonel Dole ot Waldport. Charles Anderson of Maygera, this state, who left ihe bay about Reveu years ago, has again beome a citizen of Lincoln county. Ho has purchased the RaineB place on the Toledo-New port road and expects to occupy it about Juno 10. Mr.

Anderson departed for Maygors yesterday morning and will return with his family in about three weeks. County Surveyor Wygant wont up to Elk City Tuesday to survey some additional ground for the fish hatchery sito. Fish Warden Van Dusou reports 8100 available for this hatchery sito and $50 moro will be required. Our citizens will probably raise that amount oil short notice if called upon. The importance of the hatchery can hardly be over-entimated.
