Harriman announced today as preparations were made for issuance of 1939 licenses. The dead line for old licenses is the fourth Monday of May and new licenses must be posted by that date. The fees for retail licenses ig $25 and for wholesale dealers, $100, The county collected $5,967.68 in cigaret license fees last year, Auditor Harriman said.

After deducting $59.67 for auditor's and treasurer's fees, which Is paid into the general county fund, one-half or tho amount or $2,954.01 was distributed among municipalities or townships where licenses were issued.
