ALBRIGHT ATHLETES TO OPPOSE URSII1US Lion Tracksters Visit Bear Den Tomorrow For Dual Meet Albright's track and fleld team swings into action again tomorrow afternoon, the Lions journeying to Collegeville to engage Ursinus in a dual meet. To date, the Red and White ensemble has seen action only twice. In their first appearance of the year at a seven team, best man meet at West Chester, the local collegians placed third. Their other engagement was with West Chester in a dual contest which the Teachers copped, 75 51.

Although the Bears are an un known quantity as far as Coach Clarence Munn is concerned, he is not taking them any too lightly, This was evidenced yesterday when he drilled his charges at the stadium. The Lion mentor warned his boys before the session started they were in for a hard day, and re lived up to his his promise. In eluded on the program were plenty oi starrs ana sprints ior we speea stirs and time trials to wind up the day. Munn refused to divulge the times recorded by the athletes, but said he was well satisfied with most of them. Muller In Form The competitors in the field events also saw plenty of action and Munn measured distances in all the events.

The best single per formance of the day was turned in ty Johnny Muller, dimimutive javelin thrower, who heaved the spear 184 feet, the best mark any of the Lions have made this spring. Muller is being counted on heavily to cod this event against the Bears, and yesterday's showing made Munn feel that he probably will. In his first appearance of the year, Muller grabbed a first at West Chester. With Buck McClintock still very much out of action, it looks as if the discus duties will again fall on the brawny shoulders of Moose Dis end, giant football man. Moose has been working hard with the plate, end has turned in some respectable n'arks.

He has not yet competed v.ith the squad, but he is the best discus heaver Munn has at the moment. CARDS LACE BUSHERS GREENBURG. May 11 (if) The St. Louis Cardinals easily defeated Greensburg's Penn State league team today, 11 to 0. Haines, St.

The chanv plons hammered the ball all over the lot at the start of the game, scoring six runs on nine hits off Johnny Allen in the four innings ne worked, Meantime, Tommy Bridges was having things his own way with the Indians.

He let them have a run in the third when he com mitted a fielding error and Frankie Pytlak doubled, but he shut them out from then" until the ninth. when they got their other two runs. They managed to get only five hits on him altogether. Burns Teea Off The Tigers cinched the ball game in the fourth when they scored five runs on six hits. Irving Burns, the youngster substituting for Hank Greenberg at first base, was mainly responsible for this scoring.

After Goslin and Simmons had singled at the start of the inning, he whacked a home run into the right field bleachers. The other two runs were scored on Bridges' single to center, a walk, a wild pitch, Coch rane's single and Gehringer's double. When Allen finally got the side out, he made a dash for Del Baker, Tigers' third base coach, and then offered to punch Cochrane, but the Detroit players and the umpires changed his mind and no blows landed. Simmons, Rogell Triple Ralph Winegarner replaced Al len in the box for the Indians and was straightaway touched for two runs. A triple by Simmons, and a fly ball scored the first, and an other triple by Rogell, followed by Owen's double scored the other.

The Tigers scored their first run of the game in the second inning when Simmons and Burns singled and Simmons scored when Hughes fielded Rogell's roller and threw the ball into the Cleveland dugout. It matters little whether he stands with the feet spread apart, or with them close together in Bobby Jones fashion, but he must be relaxed. Until the player finds the correct position, he cannot expect to drop putts with any degree of consistency. The player should try to deliver a smooth, even sweep with the club; not make a quick stab at the ball. This can be done by bringing the club back low and close to the ground, and finishing the stroke in the same manner. MONDAY LEAGUE, Bell Telephone topped Longe necker's.
