GLEN, Kenneth Edmund On January 14, 1995, Mr. Kenneth Edmund Glen of Edmonton passed away at the age of 80 years.

Born in Sibbald, Alberta, kind and gentle Ken is survived by his loving wife, Avril; two sons and one daughter, Ava Louise of Edmonton, David (Gail) of Saskatoon and Ron of Ottawa; two grandchildren, Steven and Jodi of Saskatoon and sister, Margaret Robinson of Riverside, California and brother, Carl of Palm Springs, California. Predeceased by his parents and sister, Ava Mae Ball. Memorial Service Wednesday, January 18, 1995 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrews United Church, 9915 148 Street.

ACHESON, Kathleen (Kay) On January 14, 1995, Mrs. Kathleen (Kay) Rosemary Acheson of Edmonton passed away at the age ot 75 years. Predeceased by her husband, Hugh Joseph Acheson on December 3, 1991; she now leaves to mourn her loss three sons and three daughters, Brian (Vicki) Acheson of Stony Plain, Tom (Pam) Acheson, Debbie (Lyle) O'Neill, Kevin and Susan Acheson, Cindy (Glenn) Orzalkiewicz, all of Edmonton; 13 grandchildren, Angela, Corinne, Tracy, Shannon, Michael, Pamela, Casey, Kyle, Aysha, Sean, Leigh, Katrina, Kevin and two great-granddaughters, Nicole and Sydney. Kay is also survived by four brothers and one sister, Mac, Harold, Herb, Bill and Betty MacGillivray and by numerous nieces, nephews and "grandma" to many.

Kay was also predeceased by her granddaughter, Kayla. ososro BRODIE, Kathryn Agnes (Kathy) Kathryn Agnes (Kathy) Brodie, beloved wife of Robert Allan (Bob) Brodie, passed away suddenly January 15, 1995 at the Foothills Hospital. Kathy is also survived by her loving sister, Gina (Mel) Blackburn; nieces, Lauralyn and Lorraine; two brothers, Edward and John; and one cousin, Marion, all of Calgary. Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Edna Dandy. Kathy was born and raised in Edmonton, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Alberta in 1969. Following graduation, her first posting was as Public Health Nurse responsible for the rural communities around Holden, Alberta.

She then worked in many different areas of the health care system, coming to spend the last 15 years in the Mount View Health Unit (Home Care Program) working out of Calgary. At the onset of her illness, she was the Director of that program. During this time she met and married her husband, Robert, in St. Barnabas' Church on May 22, 1982. Kathy devoted her nursing career to the care of others.

Everyone she came in contact with loved Kathy for her smiling face and cheerful disposition. A service will be held at Foster's Garden Chapel, 3220 4th Street N.W., Calgary on Wednesday, January 18, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Hugh Christmas officiating. Cremation. MAURO, Silvestro Mr. Silvestro Mauro, born December 3, 1908, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on January 15, 1995 at the wonderful age of 86 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Nicolina; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rosetta and Mario Stella, Maria and Nicola Arrotta, and Teresa and Agostino Sgarbossa; two sons and daughters-in-law: Peter and Evelyn Mauro, and Tom and Debra Mauro, all of Calgary; seven grandchildren, Mario and Debbie Arrotta of Edmonton, Dean and Connie Stella, Silvana and Brian Maurer, Lisa Sgarbossa, Jason Mauro, Justin Mauro, and Nicole Sgarbossa all of Calgary; as well as two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Alexa Arrotta of Edmonton.

Silvestro was born in Albi, Catanzaro, Italy. He came to Calgary in 1951, where he worked for the City of Calgary until his retirement in 1973. After his retirement, Silvestro loved to spend endless hours nurturing his much loved greenhouse and garden. Silvestro was well loved and well respected in the community. He always worried about everyone else and never complained.

Silvestro loved to tell stories and make people laugh, and his grandchildren, children and friends loved to listen. Their home was always filled with family, friends and laughter. Our husband, father, nonno and great nonno: we love you always and you will be in our hearts forever. LeDREW, George On January 15, 1995, Mr. George LeDrew of Edmonton passed away at the age of 77 years. George graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and Art and subsequently worked in Whitehorse where he married his childhood sweetheart in February 1943. He moved to Edmonton after the war and spent the last 50 years involved in various business endeavours, including establishing his own company of consulting and real estate appraisal as an AACI, MAI. He was also active in various local service organizations.

He was fortunate enough to spend considerable time in Sun City West, Arizona and Wizard Lake, Alberta where he became involved in art work. Survived by his loving wife, Aileen; two sons and two daughters, Grant (Patricia) of Kingston, Ontario, Mac (Irene) of Toronto, Ontario, Bobbi (Roger) Rector of Calgary, Maureen (John) Brooker of Edmonton; ten grandchildren, Laureen Dirksen, Kevin LeDrew, Christopher LeDrew, Jill LeDrew, Kevin Rector, Teri Rector, Lori Beaulieu, Mandy Brooker, Cara Jane Brooker, and Krista Brooker; one great-granddaughter, Amanda Butler; one brother and one sister, Dr. Ralph (Fay) of Edmonton, Dorothy (Erwin) Fenske of Sun City West, Arizona. She worked in the Creamery and her Father's Drug Store for many years. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Bunny will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews whose lives she followed with great interest.
