MOW WW The Bayou Macon-Madison Bible Study Center, sponsored by the Bayou Macon-Madison Baptist Associations will resume its teaching and training this Fall. All studies will be housed in the new Baptist Missions Office building in Epps. The center is affiliated with the Seminary Extension Department of the Southern Baptist Convention.

It is a ministry education systems of the six theological seminaries, headquartered in Nashville, Tenn. All teachers in the center are teachers certified by the Seminary External Education Division. Through the Seminary External Education Division the local association offers certificates and diplomas on behalf of the six sponsoring seminaries. Classes are open to pastors and lay people alike. Students of any educational level are offered refresher courses or a basic curriculum leading to a diploma or certificate.

Lay persons who teach Sunday school at the local church level are urged to attend. Approximately 8,000 persons per year are enrolled in one or more of these courses of study. Seminary Extension students are found in all 50 states and about 20 foreign countries at more than 300 centers. These studies are available for men and women and pastors and laymen alike, with any level of formal education. Anticipated course lengths are nine weeks.

Two hours of class study each week will be offered. Expected cost will be about $34 for each course; this includes the textbook. If a husband and wife take these courses only one is required to purchase the book, this will save $8.95. Malcolm Waters, Mary and Melvin, of Monroe, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Waters and Tracy. Marion, spent Saturday with Mrs. Marjorie Richburg.

Guests of Miss Mary Alice Castleman, Saturday, were Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Lynn, of Bernice. Mr.

and Mrs. Roy Vining, Deborah and Susan, of Lake Jackson, Texas, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. M.N. Lipp.

Visiting Mr. and Mrs. K.T. Dosher. over the weekend, were Roy and Greta Rushing, Addie Lee Rushing, of Houston, Texas, James and Betty Meredith, Bruce, Jamie and Kim, of Urania, Bobbie Schulingkamp, Josh and Kelli, of Bossier City, Donna and Misty Dosher, of West Monroe, and Patsy Costello.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Crnkovic enjoyed camping for a few days last week in Lake Bruin State Park and also spent some time in Natchez, Miss. Mr. and Mrs.

Wayne Galyean Mr. and Mrs. Jessee Peterson attended the wedding of Miss Cherie Chavanne and Donald Jules Cazayoux Jr. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Roads, recently.
