Motion was made by Floyd Weems to adopt this ordinance, was seconded by Charles Hankins, and after being read and discussed section by section and as a whole, and so voted on, upon roll call, James H. Dumas, Charles Hankins, W. O. James and Floyd Weems voted in favor, and none voted Nay. Ed Cannon being absent.

Town Council Proceedings The regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town oi Oak Grova was held on November 7, 1962, at 3:00 p. with Board Members present, Charles Hankins, James mas, W. O. James, and Floyd Weems. Ed Cannon being absent.

Charges E. Cox, Mayor, presided. The secretary read the minutes of the prev-ous maetin, which were approved by the Board. The treasurer's report lor the General Fund was $2,648 03. with receipts totaling $1,753.28 expenditures $2,417 25, leaving a cash balance of 06.

Ordinance No. 349 amending Ordinance No. 332, regulating parking of automobiles and trucks on certain streets in the Town of Oak Grove and fixing the penalty for violating same was introduced by Floyd Weems, asking for its adoption, which was seconded by Charles Hankins, and upon vote it was unanimously adopted by the Board.

This ordinance was entered on page 274 of the Ordinance Book of the Town of Oak Grove as Ordinance No. 349. Ordinance No. 350 regulating the directional flow of traffic of automobiles and trucks on certain alleys and streets to the Town of Oak Grove, and fixing the penalty for violating the same was introduced by Floyd Weems, asking for its adoption, which was seconded by Charles Hankins, and upon vote' was unanimously adopted by the Board. This ordinance vas entered in the Ordinance Book of the Town of Oak Grove as Ordinance No.

LITTLE, Sec. Treas. Ordinance No. 819 An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 332 regulating the parking of automobiles and trucks on certain streets in the Town of Oak Grove, and fixing the penalty for violating the same.

Section 1. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Oak Grove, State of Louisiana, in regular session convened on November 7, 1962, that addition and amendment be made to Ordinance No. 332 captioned Section 5 to read as follows: "Section 5. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Oak Grove. State of Louisiana, that ail persons, firms and corporations are hereby prohibited from all angle parking of automobiles or trucks pn the west side of Briggs Street between the streets of Marietta and Main; parallel parking for a period not exceeding ten (10) minutes at any one time shall be permitted on the West side of Briggs street between the points aforesaid." Motion was made by Floyd Weems to adopt this ordinance, seconded by Charles Hankins, and after being read and discussed section by section and as a whole, and so voted on, upon roll call James H.

Dumas, Floyd Weems, W. O. James and Charles Hankins voted In favor, none voted Nay. Ed Cannon being absent. The Mayor declared the ordinance passed and adopted this 7th day of November, 1962.

Section 1. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Oak Grove, State of Louisiana, in regular session convened on November 7, 1962, that in order to have a safe and un congested flow of traffic on certain streets and alleyways, the following ordinance is hereby enacted. Section 2. That all persons, firms and corporations are hereby prohibited from Easterly travel by motor vehicle from Front Street to Briggs Street via alleyway north, nearest and parallel to Main Street. Section 3.

That said persons, firms and" corporations are likewise prohibited -from: Easterly travel by motor Vehicle frorn Jarspn, Street to Briggs Street "via alleyway souths nearest and parallel' to 'Main Street. Section 4. Travel in, a westerly direction h.aJl pefmitted on the aforementioned sectiens the described alleyways.
