South Viets To Assist In Return Of Refugees By MARGARET SCI1ER Associated Press Writer WASHINGTON (AP) The new head of President interagency refugee task force says the South Vietnamese gov ernment is cooperating with the United Nations in negotiating about refugees who wish to re turn to their home country Julia Vadela Taft said in an interview that the names of those who wish to return are being submitted to the UN high commissioner on refugees who will submit them to the new governments of Cambodia and South Vietnam "The receiving country has to say yes to each one before he can return" she said An estimated 1000 refugees have indicated a desire to re turn to their native countries An estimated 130000 refugees fled South Vietnam and Cam bodia President ord signed a refu gee aid measure Saturday re quiring the administration to report to Congress within 30 days on how many refugees want to go back home and what actions are being taken to as sist them The new law provides $405 million
