Lavonne and Maurice Watts visited their daughter, Sandy, in Houston, for several days. Ed Dandridge is at home after having minor surgery at Glen wood Hospital in Monroe. Susan and Ronald Vestal with their children, M'liss and Neil, from Lafayette, visited their parents, Jackie and Wallace Prather. On Saturday, January 31, the class of 1950 of Newell-ton High School held their 30th reunion. At the home of Jimmie Ruth and Louis Doyle.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Claire Louise Stockton of Kingsville and the late Dr. James A. Stockton. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a designer's gown of all white chiffonette and re- embroidered lace.

The bodice, which formed a natual waistline, was enhanced with re- embroidered lace and fashioned with a wide Queen Anne neckline, trimmed in seed pearls. The full double bishop sleeves gathered into Victorian cuffs of re- embroidered lace, also trimmed with a scattering of seed pearls. The full skirt fell into a chapel length train. The finger-tip veil of illu sion was edged in re- embroidered lace and was held by a cap, covered in matching lace and dotted with dainty seed pearls. Georgia Anderson, sister of bride was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Misses Beth Vickrey and Cathi Wolfe, both of I V' vur Edward Y. Berry, served his cousin as best man. Groomsmen were Charles W. Bentley of El Campo, cousin of the groom, and Harvey Shifrin of Houston, brother-in-law of the groom. Ushers were Richard Corkill, brother of the bride, Bobby Sharpe and Sammy Fugate.

A reception was held immediately following the ceremony in the church fellowship hall. The brides table was displayed all in white chiffon and lace. The three- tiered cake was decorated with a cascade of fresh red and white carnations. Silver candelabras were displayed on either side of the cake. The grooms table was done in earth tones.

A centerpiece of pine cones and candles set off the double- ring red velvet cake. Members of the Houseparty were mesdames: Jim Hoover, Richard Hochstedler, Bobby Sharpe, and Cephus Lack. Also Misses: Laura Weimer, Terri Weimer and Debbie Hill. Honorary members of the Houseparty were: Mrs. Gary Skinner and Miss Melinda Corkill, sisters of bride; Misses Susan Stockton and Mary Lou Stockton and Mrs.

Harvey Shifrin, sisters of the groom. After a wedding trip to Corpus Christi, Texas the couple is making their home at Wavertree plantation. Out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. F.
