Thursday April 13, 1950 THE WEST CARROLL GAZETTE i ill II OPENING OF OUTER NEW Di A IT CD IE In Oak Grove It affords us great pleasure and satisfaction to be able to announce the opening of our new theatre that is modern in every respect. Everything has been done to insure safety, comfort and entertainment. Every new improvement in equipment, furnishings and safety devices has been installed. We sincerely believe, with the opening of the new Fiske Theatre Monday night, you will be privileged to see your favorite cinemas in one of the most modern theatres in Louisiana. We take this opportunity to express our thanks for your patronage in the past and respectfully solicit a continuance.

i When you enter the lobby of the new Fiske, you will tread on carpet with padding of heavy sponge rubber. Then when leaving the doorman, directly beyond him will be the most modern concession stand that could be obtained. To the right and left, with corridors for privacy, can be found modern rest and powder rooms. So that mothers with small babies can enjoy the movies, in the rear of the auditorium is a sound-proof "cry room" air-conditioned both winter and summer to assure the proper temperature. The room is equipped with quality speakers to give good sound while the picture is viewed through the large plate glass section.

In addition to wide spacing to allow complete relaxation, the seats are self-lifting to add to the safety and ease in entering the aisles. The auditorium is completely covered with sound absorption board to add to the quietness and sound perfection. The sound will be transmitted by the "Voice of the Theatre, speakers developed by Altec Lansjng in Hollywood and used in the Academy of Arts screenings.

The new Fiske is equipped with one of the most modern air-conditioning systems to insure utmost comfort in any kind of 'weather. And the theatre is completely protected by an automatic water sprinkler system. SCHEDULE OF PROGRAM CHANGES Program changes will be the same as in the past, with the exception of Saturday. The Saturday program will be a double-feature program starting at 10 A. M.

and running continuously until 12 midnight. The Saturday midnight show will be discontinued until a later date. ADMISSION CHARGES No increase in admission charges. The 'admission charges will remain the same as in the past. Children under 6 years of age will be admitted without charge when accompanied by a parent.
