For Sheriff EPPO BULTEN Eppo Bulten, 41, has lived in the Algona area since 1947. He is married and the father of two daughters. He was employed for six years with the Faber Construction four years as foreman; had a Borden retail milk route four years and was also employed on farms 'in the area. Eppo then served on the Algona police department eight years and years as deputy sheriff before being appointed as Kossuth County Sheriff. He enlisted in the U.

S. Na vy at the age of 17 and served 2 years, with the majority of the time in the South Pacific during World War 11. PETE JORGENSON Peter Jorgenson was born at Ledyard in 1933. He attended the Ledyard and Seneca Consolidated schools before enlisting in the Marines where he spent 3 years. Some of this time was in overseas duty in Korea.

After he came out of the Marines, Pete worked for Jack's O.K. for a short time, then joined the Algona Police Force where he has served for 13 years. He is married and the father of five children. parents, the Lloyd Jorgensons, still reside at Ledyard. He is a member of the American Legion, For Auditor employed with the Algona Municipal Utilities.

He is married and the father of six children. Mr. Scott is a graduate of Burt high school and a veteran. He is a member of a number of farm organizations and is a former assessor for Portland For County Attorney State Senator 61st and 62nd General Assemblies and served on the Commerce, Agriculture, Education, Ways and Means, Public Health and Welfare committees. He was alsq committee ori Interstate Cooperation of the Council of State Government as Agriculture chairman.

He has been Democratic precinct committeeman for Greenwood township, county Democratic chairman, 6th Congressional District chairman, 7 years, and Iowa State Democratic Central Committeeman for 7 years. JOE STRAUB Joe Straub was born Jan. 5, 1930 in East Rockaway, N. and graduated from high school there in 1947. He received his BA degree in journalism from Notre Dame University in 1952 and graduated from the Notre Dame School of Law in 1955.

He was admitted to the New York Bar the same year and to the Iowa Bar in 1958. He was married in 1951 to Mary Caryl Cash, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Cash.

They have 11 children, the oldest a junior at Garrigan and the baby, 7 months. The Straubs are members of St. Cecelia's church. The Straubs moved to Algona in August of 1958, to associate with Linnan Lynch and he became a partner in 1960. Since 1964 he has served as Kossuth County Democratic Chairman and in 1968 Bancroft City Attorney.

For Clerk of Court MARC MOORE Mr. Moore is a lifelong resident of Kossuth County and was graduated from the Algona high school, He is a home- owning taxpayer of the community. Mr. Moore has served as Kossuth County Auditor for the past 15 years. Among the organizations he belongs to are the American Legion, Kiwanis and Masonic Lodge.

Afgona (Iowa) Advanto THURSDAY, OCT. 3 WAYNE KEITH Wayne Keith is a native of Kossuth county and has lived in the Algona and Burt areas, and is a graduate of the Algona high school. He has been a successful grain and livestock farm operator, the last 10 years in partnership with his son. Mr. Keith served as vice- president of a major farm organization, in charge of their policy development and also has served as vice-president of a large life insurance company and a casualty insurance company.

He served as Kossuth County Civil Defense Di- rectoi during 1967 and part of this year, and has been on and national livestock and crop committees, appearing in Washington before Iowa's congressional delegation on numerous occasions. He has received the Rotary service award for community activities and leadership, been active in the First Baptist church of Algona and a Republican party worker and delegate to a national convention. For State Representative school, two years id teachers college and one year in the army in Denmark, then immigrated to the- United States in 1950. He is has three children, and and operates a 120-acre farm spec ializing in poultry. He has served as Republican precinct chairman in Union township, served four ion township, served 4 years on Kossuth County and presently serves on the extension state advisory committee.

He is an active member and el der of the First Presbyterian church of Algona, counselor of Kossuth County Rural Youth for seven years and a church camp counselor and director for 13 years, and was a delegate to Washington, D. C. for two community groups. Mr. Kiilsholm has served two years as county treasurer of the Kossuth County Farm Bureau, one term as State Representative for Kossuth county in the Iowa House on the Agriculture, Conservation, County and Township Affairs and Schools committees.

For 1st District Supervisor E. J. KOLLASCH E. J. "Jiggs" Kollasch, 50, was born at Whittemore and attended school there.

He is a World War II veteran of the army, serving in the European Theatre." Married and the father of nine children, he operated the Kollasch grocery and station south of Algona on Hwy. 169 for 17 years. The past two years he has been employed at the Hobarton Elevator. They are members of St. Joseph's Catholic Church at St.

Joe. For 2nd District Supervisor LEE SCHENCK Mr. Schenck is a lifelong resident of Kossuth county. He has farmed 19 years; is presently engaged in the trucking business and does custom combining. He graduated from, the Algona high school and for the past '16' years, has been actively engaged in work with the Kossuth "County Agriculture Association in connection with the Kossuth County Fair.

John's ift Bancroft aftd three are grade school students there. LAWR6NC6 NEWBROUQH Lawrence Newbrough, 55, was born in Humboldt County and has spent most of his life in the Lone Rock area. He graduated from the Lone Rock high school, is married and father of five children. He and his Wife lived on a farm in the Lone Rock area for 25 years and moved into town in 1057 where he was employed by International Implement. Mr.

Newbrough was on the Lone Rock and Sentral school board for 20 years, is a member of the Presbyterian Church, the Masonic Lodge and has been a supervisor the past six years. For 5th District Supervisor ALMA PEARSON Alma Pearson was born at Wesley and graduated from the Algona High School. She attended college at Ames and the Hamilton Business College at Mason City. She was Kossuth County dcupty clerk of court for several years and was appointed clerk in 1948. She was married and has one son.

Her husband is deceased. Alma is a member of St. Cecelia's Catholic church, Catholic daughters and the Soroptomisl Club. For State Senator Mr. Scott is i farmer in Portland township and jf ajfg DONALD W.

MURRAY Donald Murray, 45, has lived his entire life at Bancroft. graduated from St. John's, attended St. Thomas at St. Paul, Iowa State University, Ames, Pennsylvania Military College, Chester, and spent years with the U.

S. Army during World War 11. lie was married in 1950 and the- tin-ays have five children, 2 17. He operated the Murray Elevator for many years, before it was sold last year, is manager of the family Trust farms, District manager for Financial Programs, in sale of Mutual Funds and Life Insurance; sells real estate, is associated with Farmers Independent Credit Lake Park, 'Iowa, and United Suppliers of Eldora. Mr.

Murray has been active in many civic, church, county and state organizations, on the Bancroft city council 12 years, jwiyor for two years, years as the Iowa BERL PRIEBE Bcrl Priebe, lifelong resident of Kossuth county, was born near Lone Rock and raised in the Lakota and Bancroft areas. He presently is fanning and raises cattle near Algona. Past President of the Iowa Stato Angus Association, he is now a board member and national delegate; has been a member of the Kossuth Mutual Insurance Association, local school board and ASC committeeman. Ho is presently a member of the Kossuth County Fair Board and 4-11 leader and judge, lie has served as chairman and co-chairman of the Kossuth County Barbecue and is a member of the Izaak Walton league. He was a state delegate of the Democratic party.

Members of the Lutheran church, the Priebes have three children, two daughters in the Chicago area and one son near Algona. IVAN PARROTT Ivan Parrott was raised on a farm and lived there until 1941. He then entered the trucking (local and interstate) business for several years and later owned and operated a grocery store before coming to Algona in 1957. Since then, he was employed by a local contractor in road building. He is familiar with and concerned about the farmer, local business and industry.

For 4th District Supervisor GEORGE WERINGA George Weringa, 45, is a native of Lakota. He graduated from high school there, is an army veteran of World War II and worked on county maintenance for 14 years, and is 'also familiar with the workings of the County farm. George and his wife, the former Lois Koons, had two sons. The eldest died follow ing a car accident in 1964. Their son Gene is presently with the army in Vietnam.

Funeral rites for Watson Struthers, 84 of Ottosen, were held Wednesday afternoon at the United Presbyterian church at West Bend with burial in the West Bend cemetery. The Schellhammer funeral home of West Bend was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Struthers died Monday at the Sunet Manor nursing home at Rolfe following a long illness. He was born on a farm near Ottosen where he lived his entire life.

He was married to Ida Orville at McMinnville, Ore. in 1913 and the couple returned to Ottosen to live their entire married life. She died in 1964. Three sons survive: Donald, Richardson, Ralph and Eugene. Ottosen; plus 13 grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
