Several ladies went to the home of Mrs. Ruby Holmes Wednesday afternoon to help her celebrate her birthday, bringing gifts and cards and a pot luck lunch.

Mrs. Mercie Berryhill end her sister, Mrs. Marian Jacobs, who is visiting here from California, are spending a couple of weeks in Minnesota visiting a sister and Mrs. Berryhill's son Donald and family at Duluth. They went by car.

The couple received many lovely gifts. Sandwiches, cake and coffee were served at the close of the evening. BABY BAPTIZED Beverly, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wolf of Forest City, was baptized Sunday morning during church service at the United Methodist Church in LuVerne.

Mr. Wolf, who teaches in the Forest City school system is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wolf of LuVerne. Following the morning worship a dinner was held in Beverly's honor at the Harold Wolf home.

Attending were the honored guests, Mr and Mrs. Richard Wolf and 'Beverly of Forest City, Rev. and Mrs. Otis McQuary, great grandfather, Guy Giddings, Sadie Hood and Mr. and Mrs.

The youth of the United Methodist Church were the invited guests. Approximately 60 shared the evening hayride. Counselors were Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Warmbler and Rev. Mueller. Lunch was served following the hayride by Connie Hefty, Jeannie Hjelmeland and Chris Meyer.

Legler drove Denny to Oklahoma. Enroute they visited friends in Oiathe, Kans. from Friday till Sunday afternoon when they took Denny to Oklahoma where they visited until Tuesday when they returned to Oiathe and on to LuVerne, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Legler of Fort Dodge stayed with John and Charles while their parents away.

Denny has enrolled at Oklahoma State Tech College majoring in printing and advertising. Dennis Marty, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Marty, has enrolled for his sophomore year at Westmar College in LeMars, where he is a music major. He was also choaen as proctor of his class.

This election is based on leadership and scholastic ability. Judy Jergensen, Reeieen Hewitt and Doug Marty attended a United Methodist Youth in Renwick on Sunday. Bill Marty now a resident of the Kanawha Community Nursing Home in Kanawha. Mr. and Mrs.
