She was a member of the West-wood United Methodist Church. Surviving are a son, Stanley P. of Beaver Falls, two grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter. Her husband, Stanley, Karl Elter DUMONT Karl Elter, 88, of Harrington Park, formerly of the borough, died Wednesday. Born in Wintersbach, Germany, he came to this country in 1927.

Before retiring 15 years ago, he was owner and manager of Karl Elter Dumont. Surviving are a daughter, Anne Freemyer of Harrington Park; a son, Alfred M. of Bergenfield; two sisters, Barbara Reisenger of Putnam Lake, N.Y. and Anna Herrmann of New Rochelle, N.Y., three brothers and a sister, all in Germany; eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. His wife, Barbara Bauer Elter, died in 1984.

Mass was said yesterday at St. Mary's Church, Dumont, with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hackensack. Arrangements were by the Freeh Funeral Home, Dumont.
