He received Koivisto his education there at Diamond Point School. Toivo played the accordion for radio stations around Minnesota in the mid-1930s. He became interested in airplanes and owned two single engine airplanes, with which he practiced aerobatics. In 1940, Toivo married Sylvia Marjamaa in Butte.

They owned and operated the Happy Hour Bar in Menahga, and also two bars in Butte, the Broadway Bar and the Monogram Bar, which they sold in 1972. He then ran a sawmill and worked for the Anaconda Co. until his retirement. Following his retirement, he spent much of his time at his cabin and mining claim north of Basin. He was also inducted into the Music Hall of Fame in Finland. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia; parents, Joel and Sohvia Koivisto; brother, Sulo Koivisto; granddaughter, Nannette Koivisto; and grandson, Ole Aguirre. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Viola Koivisto; granddaughters, Dannette Koivisto and her spouse, David Martinez, and Lisa and Bob Mareno; grandsons and their families, David Vossler and Robert Aguirre; sister-in-law, Myrtle Marjamaa; and nieces and nephews and their families, Irene Stucke, LuWaana and Andy Johnson, Sharon and Harold Koski, Ronald and Debbie Marjamaa, Dennis and Jonas Marjamaa, John and Darlene Marjamaa, Faye Marjamaa, Jan Marjamaa, Ray Marjamaa, Kathy Marjamaa, Cindy Marjamaa, Doris Mattson, Dwayne and Gwen Koski, Sharon and Tommi Banks, John Hyett, Laura Loue Griffith, Dennis and Diane Koivisto, and Joel Koivisto. Gisella was born June 7, 1918, in Foley, to Leo and Helen Buttweiler and was the oldest of their five children. When she was a young girl, her family Castiglioni moved frequently around rural Minnesota because her parents operated dairy creameries.

During part of her young life, Judy attended a boarding school. She graduated as valedictorian of her high school class and then entered nurses' training. Judy graduated as a registered nurse in St. Cloud, Minn. When the world was turned upside down with World War II, Judy was working as a nurse at the Mayo Clinic where she met her husband, Victor Castiglioni.

She joined the Army and was a second lieutenant. After she and Victor were married, he was sent to Europe as a soldier during the war. Judy left the Army and returned to work at the Mayo Clinic until Victor returned. After the war, Victor and Judy moved to California for a brief period and then moved to Victor's hometown of Butte. Judy pursued her nursing career and became known for her good and faithful service, compassion, and dedication to her vocation.

Throughout the years, she provided nursing care to families and well-to-do individuals, but her real gift was that she dedicated a large part of her nursing life to many elderly ladies. She even moved some of these women into her own home, cared for them and, true to her giving nature, never charged them for her services. Her career as a night nurse was a 45-year commitment but even after she retired, she continued to share her skills and compassion with others. She was regularly called upon by people who needed her help and she always answered their call. In recent years, Judy was crippled by her own failing health but she still managed to live in her Butte home and enjoy her independent lifestyle.

This spirit of independence was recognized by her friends DEATH NOTICES Anaconda STRAKAL Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph Strakal will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Anaconda.
