According lo fire department officials, the family had burned some papers, and believed the fire was out afler having poured walet on thc ashes. Sparks, however ignited Ihe Joy gnragp. which was empty at tho time. The blaze was discovered by James Allen, who called a neigh bor who in turn summoned the Morris Fire Department. The Joy residence which had asbestos siding, wns severely scorched but did not catch fire. Much of the first floor contents of thc Allen home was saved.
