Byrd is known for his quick wit, love of a good joke and entertaining stories. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by daughter; Paulene Roylance of Provo, Bethene (Randy) Jasper of Lindon, Suann (Phil) Adams of Salt Lake City, Edith Pearson of Moab and a son; Joseph Byrd (Lorie) Pearson of Orem; 16 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Joyce and grandson, Richard Roylance. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 17, 1999, at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 E. Center Provo at 11 a.m. Friends may call Tuesday evening, November 16 from 6-8 p.m. at the Berg Mortuary, Provo or one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Interment will be at Provo City Cemetery. K. Stratton Franklin K. Stratton passed away 78, Byrd Nathan Pearson passed away quietly at his home surrounded by all his family on November 13, 1999, of pancre atic cancer. He WAS born on August 1, 1920, in Lagan, Utah, to Essie Nathan and Ann Bethesda (Kearl) Pearson.

He was the second of four sons. Byrd married the love of his life, Edith Joyce Johnson, on December 10, 1948, in Provo, Utah. They made their home in Provo and raised a family of four daughters and one son, which were his pride and joy. Joyce passed away November 29, 1990, of pancreatic cancer. Byrd owned and operated Pearson Cabinet and Supply for 55 years.

He was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed fishing and hunting, traveling the world on many hunting expeditions. After graduating from Utah State University in agriculture, he taught in the industrial arts department before pursuing his career as an independent businessman gaining great recognition for. his craftsmanship in the woodworking fields. He WaS recognized and received many awards, including a Distinguished Service Citation by Utah Vocational Association and Craftsman of the Year in 1977 by Gov. Matheson.

He served as an active member of Provo Chamber of Commerce and Provo Industrial Development Organization. He is a member of the Provo LDS 3rd Franklin K. Stratton Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, at beloved by his friends, family, and associates. Frank was born Sept.

5, 1921, in the busy harvest season, to Nina Vance and James George Stratton, at their home in Orem. He was third in a family of eight beloved children: George, Marvin, Frank, Dorothy Fielding, Herbert, Vern, Nina Clegg, and Emma Houghton. A favorite family activity was to picnic and fish in Provo Canyon. His parents and brother George passed on before him. Frank served a Spanish American mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the southwest.

He loved the people and language, and he loved to eat tacos on Christmas Eve and tamales on New Year's Eve. Frank met his beautiful wife Janet Joyce Ollerton of Tempe, at BYU, and married her Dec. 29, 1943, in the Mesa, Arizona, Temple. They had eight children, Carol Yadon-Faslija, Janet Schurig, Susan Harding, Franklin 'Craig, Kerry, David, Steven, and Lori 'Stratton. Franklin Craig and Kerry Scott passed on before him.

a Frank earned a bachelor of arts at BYU and a master's degree at Michigan State University. He farmed, worked for Geneva Steel, taught at Lincoln Jr. High and Orem High School, worked for the forest service, and co-pioneered Tour West River Running Co. and Travel Agency. He was a favorite teacher and guide of many.

He served as the president of the Utah Education Association, and on five water boards. He was a Scout leader, and served in a bishopric, and of on the Orem East High Council. He served a stake mission, in a stake mission presidency, and as the stake mission president. He was president of the Rotary Club. And he served another mission to Madrid, Spain, with his wife Frank loved to hike, fish, hunt, and of run rivers.

He loved all BYU' sports, and traveling throughout the world. He enjoyed the out doors, the minerals, the stars, the plants, the rivers, and mountains, and he had a testimony of God the creator. He was an adored husband, father, grand-, and great-grandfather. His children are sure he has earned a great reward through his love, joy of life, and service. All are invited to the funeral services Tuesday, Nov.

Bruce Condie, age 88 of Payson, passed away November 9, 1999. Katie Belle Shell Condie, age 80 of l'eyson, passed away November 10, 1999.

Both had pneumonia and had been in the hospitel together during their last few days. Bruce was born February 4, 1911, in Preston, Idaho, a son of Thomas Robinson and Nellie Jones Condie. He was in the mining industry for several years in Pioche, Nevada. He was a civil engineer for Coon, King and Knowlton in Salt Lake City. Bruce went to work for the Utah County Surveyors Office.

He retired in 1981. He was a member of the Damascus Lodge 10 of the Free and Accepted Masons. He was raised to the degree of a Master Mason in May 1995. Katie was born June 24, 1919, in Ingalls, Kansas, to Abijah and Mary Adeline Newberry Shell. She moved to Utah after her father passed away.

They finally settled on a small farm on West Mountain, a small farming community West of Payson, Utah. She was a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint in the Payson 2nd Ward. Katie was employed by MuirRoberts in Payson during the summer fruit seasons. Bruce and Katie were married in Pioche, Nevada, on September 3, Byrd N. Pearson, Provo, died November Services pending, announced by Berg Provo.

Bruce Katie Shell Condie James David Michael Blaine 1938. They lived in Payson since 1964. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Lenore; and three brothers: Alma George, Ivan Jones, and Emberson DeLoy. Katie was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and six brothers: Sarah Vinnia, Laura Adeline, Tena Maud, and Zelma Irene, Carl Allen, George William, Ralph Howard, Abijah Gill, Oliver Guy, and Willard Norman. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Fawn Shell, and a brother-in-law, Gene V.

Tolman. They will be greatly missed by their many nieces and nephews who have fond memories of them. Services will be Tuesday, November 16, 1999, 11 a.m. in the Walker Mortuary, 587 S. 100 West, Payson, where friends may call Monday, 6-8 p.m.

Pleasant, graduating from North Sanpete High School on May 17, 1945. James served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. James enjoyed traveling with his wife and was able to travel to London, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Yugoslavia and Switzerland. James was employed by the U.S.

Army Depot in Tooele for many years. James is survived by his sister, Lucile Christensen of Moroni; nieces and nephews, Richard B. Demske of Troy Michigan, Elizabeth Kiracofe of Wayne, Michigan, Susan Anderson of Spokane, and Charles E. Christensen of Mt. Pleasant, Utah.

James was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother, Charles and one sister, Alene. Graveside services will be Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, at the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery p.m., under the direction of Ursenbach Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.

Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 9267 of Mt. Pleasant. The family would like to thank the Staff at Oak View Living Center in Provo for their loving care shown to him. Michael Blaine Wing, 37, of Springville, Utah, died Thursday, November 11, 1999. He was born July 16.

1962, in Las Vegas, to Richard George Wing and Emma Gene Robbins. At age 3, upon his fathers death, Michael, his brother and twin sister were adopted by Harold and Brigitte Wing. He married Paula Swenson on April 21, 1984, in Provo, Utah. Michael was a good father and loved his children very much. He enjoyed golfing, dirt er cross word puzzles and the outdoors.

He loved people and his family, and was especially keen on gardening and considered himself a yardsman. He is survived by his wife, Paula; parents Hal and Brigitte Wing; two sons and one daughter: Bradley, Emily, and Jeffrey; two brothers and three sisters: Dennis Wing, H. Arthur Wing, twin' sister Michelle Wing Dove, Douglas R. Wing, Christina Wing Hutchings, Heidi Lynn Wing Girot, and several half brothers, sisters and cousins. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 16, 1999, at 1 p.m.
