(UP!) 1 Two seasoned veterans of the women's golf tour and a left-I handed newcomer share the lead in Faberge Sunday's the $100,000 Sealy- ClasRic going into final round with 36 hole scores of 143, three-under par, Kathy Cornelius, 40, a pro since Sandra Haynie, 29, who started playing for money in 1960, are the veterans. Bonnie Bryant, 29, who didn't earn her players card until last year, is the newcomer. Miss Park, Saturday to her first round 71 Cornelius. LHchfield added a 72 over the par 73 Desert Inn Course.

Miss Haynie, Dallas, went 70-73. Miss Bryant, Oakland had 72-71. Defending champion Betty Burfeindt was all alone in fourth place at 144 after shooting a three-under-par par 70 Saturday. She was in a 10-way tie for 16th 1 place w'ith a 74 after Friday's first round. Mary Mills, Gulfport, who paced Friday's first round with a 69, fell off to 76 Saturday and was in five-way tie for fifth place with Japan's Chako Higuchi, Judy Rankin, Donna Caponi Young and Carol Mann.

Track and Field Federation championship meet Saturday night with a 3:05.7 mile relay, fastest in the nation this year. The race was tight until the Longhorns' third man, John Lee, opened up a 15-yard lead with a :46.3 quarter mile. Kim Howe of Michigan and Skip Kent of Wisconsin could not close the gap on Don Sturgal. the Aggies' anchorman. The winning time was of a second better than the Longhorns' previous best.

In the mile run, Rick Wohlhuter had a career best ol 3:58.8, only a week aftgr he set a world record in the half mile. The Chicago Track Club ace passed up an invitation to special half mile after a good qualifying time in the mile. He took 'over early in the last lap and sprinted away from the field at Wichita State's Cessna Stadium. "I wanted to run under four minutes and felt that this track would be a pretty good place to get that time," Wohlhuler said, emphasizing he considers himself primarily a half miler.
