There are old pilots and there are bold pilots. But up North, there are no old bold pilots. "Pilots North," an Edmonton Northlands presentation in co-operation with Pacific Western Airlines, will be shown continuously, along with an all-new thrill film "Horizons" on the hour and half hour each day from 1 1 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Be a part of the action when the film "Pilots North" plays in the R.C.M.P. Dome Theatre during Edmonton's Klondike Days Exposition. A 20-minute 70mm film, with musical score by Edmonton's Tommy Banks, "Pilots North" will surround you in the 180 degree Sens-O-sphere R.C.M.P. Dome Theatre. You will exerience the north country through the eyes of bush pilots who pioneered the skies over Canada's north, risking their lives to end the isolation of remote and virtually uncharted regins.

"Pilots North" shows how the pioneer navigators challenged the elements to supply and serv ice the inhabitants of the North and open the way for present aerial routes linking Eastern and Western Canada with the North and Far South. Breath-taking photography will take you over Peace River, Fort Vermillion, Nahanni, 300 foot high Virginia Falls, and the chilling frozen wasteland of the far Arctic. You'll follow the rivers of the fur traders and head out towards the uncharted regions of the North. You'll fly Tiger Moths, Fairchild 24's, Stagger Wing Beachcraft, Wacos, Norsemen and other bush planes that helped open up the North.
