Robert A. Pike Is dead after a long Illness, and as his life was characterized, he died with a smile on his face. The news yesterday of his death caused sadness through his circle of friends for "Bob" Pike was a big-hearted 'iboy." Freeman oc-curred yesterday at a local hospital. He was 62 years of ace and a native of Texan. The body will be shipped by the J. D. McDonald company to Norwalk for interment.

J. ROUSSEAU PIONEERS If DEAD IN LOS EXHIBIT AT ANGELES SHOW Passing Occurs on Fiftieth Anniversary of His Arrival Here. JL J. Rosseau, a pioneer of San Ber nardino and for a half century a real Argonauts Plan For Erection of Feature at Orange Exposition. The Pioneer society will build a fine feature display at the Fifth National Orange show if the plans tentatively forrnilated at the meeting of the organization in the Log Cabin in Lugo park yesterday are carried out.

The matter 'had-been considered for some time toy some of the pioneers, and yesterday when by invitation Manaiger F. JL Renfro presented the matter it was at once voted to name a committee to look Into the matter and determine as to the advisability of the plan. This committee Is composed or John Brown, chairman, Jonathan Tibbets of Riverside, George Miller of Highland, A M. Brown of Colton and H. C.

Curtis of San Bernardino. The com mittee will take the matter ui the com ing week with Manager Kenrro who has some ideas to suggest as to a suitable plan. J. D. McGregor of Fontana was a caller at the orange show offices yesterday for a discussion of the plans for the big feature to be erected by that district It is to be of elaborate type and Is sure to be a great attraction for the show.
