POSTAL LIFE'S HOME HAY SOON BE SOLD Reported Negotiations Involve Sixteen Story Bnilding at 511 Fifth Avenue. On the crest -of the heat wave, which baa so far acted aa a soporific on real estate trading in general came word yesterday of the drawing up of contracts in one of the biggest impending deals the city has seen In some time. The negotiations, according to a report from a reliable source, have to do with the sixteen story Postal Life Insurance Company Building, at 511 Fifth avenue, southeast corner of Forty-third street. According to the Information received by The York Herald, there is little doubt that the sale will be put through, but the transaction has not as yet reached a point justifying the revelation of the name of the prospectrve purchasers. The Postal Life Building fronts 62.11 feet jon Fifth avenue and 108 feet on East Forty-third street.

It occupies the site of the old Richard T. Wilson homestead, which for many years bore the proud distinction of being the only house on Fifth avenue with a corner lawn. The construction of the building was begun In 1915 by a syndicate of builders headed by Harry Flshel and In which Harris and Maurice Mandelbaum were interested. It was purchased from plans by -Clarence Payne, a Californian, who invested heavily In New York real estate. On Its completion the building was named the Guaranty Trust Company Building in consideration of the fact that the latter institution had contracted from the start to lease the banking floor, first floor and basement.

Shortly after Mr. Payne resold the property to the Postal Life Insurance Company, the deal Involving a total valuation of according to the estimates made at the time. The Postal Life gave in part payment its old home at 35 Nassau street, southeast corner of Liberty street, a six story apartment house, two commercial buildings and a building at Savannah Qa. Subsequently the Postal Life took the Nassau street building back in foreclosure proceedings and resold it to the National Bank of Commerce. Jewellera In $500,000 Lease.

FLATBUILDERS BUY WEST BRONX PLOTS Three Projects Are Announced Deals Reported in Northern lioroujfh. The West Bronx floured more or less prominently In yesterday's market reports as the scene of several apartment house projects. One company, the West 190th Street Corporation, announced two undertaking's of this type, having purchased the plots at the northeast corner of Woodland road and 205th street and at the Bouthwest corner of Montgomery end Ponham avenues. On each of these site: the purchasers will erect a Ave Story apartment house. The Woodlawn road plot fronts 128 feet on 205th street and 80 feet on the road, and was acquired from Emil Nitray.

The house planned for this plot will cost about $200,000. The Mongom ery avenue plot, wmcn is Irregular and covers an area of three city lots, was purchased from Frederick L. Dochertman. It will accommodate a house costing approximately $175,000. Morris Berkowltz was one of the attorneys in the transaction.

McLernon Brothers sold for Edison C. Schrader the plot 75x100, at the northwest corner of Grand avenue and Buchanan place to George Brundt, who resold it through the same brokers to Glirk Evolon and Bradpls, who will improve with a five story apartment house. Harry T. F. Johnson sold in conJunction witli MrBernon Brothers for Henry L'.

Singht to an investor the one story store building with a frontage of 59 feet on the east side of Jerome avenue, 100 feet south of Kingsbridge road, and having a depth of 160 feet. The property was held at $40,000. and is near tho theatre to seat 1,500 people to be erected at the northwest corner of Jerome avenue and Kingsbridge road. Another deal closed in West Bronx by Mr. Johnson involves the resale of the one story taxpayer at the southeast corner of Morris avenue and 183d street, on a plot fronting 43 feet on the avenue and 91 feet on the street.

The building contains seven stores and was held at $50,000. The new owner Is an investor. Mr. Johnsop recently sold the property to Mr. Cohen for John P.
