Ritchie, a resident of Edmonton since 1950, recently retired as senior vice-president of Cochran, Murray and Wisener Investment Dealers. A London, native who graduated from the University of Western Ontario, Ritchie is past chairman of the Investment Dealers' Association of Alberta, the city parks and recreation advisory board, and the Citadel Theatre. He served as vice-chairman to Frank Spragins during the 1976 campaign, and, as this year's chairman, he 'will begin immediately recruiting key division chair-: and putting together the Campaign organization for the October drive. Last year's campaign raised $2,860,000.

The goal for the 1977 United Way drive will be determined by the board of directors in May after consideration of t'L Max Ritchie the funded agencies' needs, the economic climate, and other factors. Ritchie has already visited many of the aacneies and v-. plans to visit all of them within the next few weeks.
