This is one of the policies of the new station, in order to encourage and foster local talent.

CFTP was honored by being the first station allowed to broadcast from the legislative buildings having broadcasted the speeches of Major Douglas at that time. The microphone used here Is no larger than a fifty-cent piece ind is known as the "Round Lapel" mike. This is also another invention of Captain Round and. in the case of public speakers, this miniature "mike" can be attached to the lapel which enables the speaker to move around at will, not being conscious of the fact that "he" is on the air; In the control room is also the extensive library of records which has just been purchased by Taylor and Pearson from both Canada and the British Isles. The modern type "beard" emphasizes perfect tone quality and reproduction.

The Larger Studio Leading again from the control room is the larger studio measuring 16 feet by 30 feet. Enter The Studio Seein that there is no red light over the door, we know that It is permissible to enter the studios proper. The first studio immediately adjacent to the cloak room, measures sixteen feet square, and is used for small groups, trios, or soloists.

In here are cosy arm chairs and together of course with the upright Heintz-man piano and the necessary mike." Upon Inquiry as to the kind of microphone used, one is informed that it is the very newest of its type, being manufactured in England and patented by its inventor.
