FOR YOLR HOME YET? 395-2818 hard-working representative for us in Washington. Also, he probably could pull in the largest number of votes for the Republican party in this section than anyone else. However, he is in a dilemma it would mean relinquishing temporarily his editorial reins (he intends to keep the paper) and for a man like Bob, whose most powerful weapon is his pen it truly would be difficult.

I ran across something interesting the other day. It seems that a couple in the area have willed their bodies to the Louisiana Anatomical Board, following their deaths. The wife, who wishes to remain anonymous, told me that both she and her husband have strong feelings againlst public funerals and had been assured that everything would be handled with dignity. In addition, she pointed out that her husband suffered from a chronic condition which thus far has baffled doctors and he believed that he could help further scientific studies by willing his body to science. MUflHlDlfcfl CHEP Well, Chep's gone and politics In St.

Mary Parish Just, won't seem the same without him. He was always a winner here, regardless, and many of his supporters probably would have kept on voting for him as long as he kept running. About the best tribute a politician can receive is to have people work for him without pay or promise of jobs and it always was that way around here, which is why he always said that St. Mary parish was so especially dear to him. He was gallant in his defeats, never held a grudge and he encouraged his supporters to do the same thing.

Like all of us, he had his particular faults he was never on time and occasionally very stubborn. But he had the type of magnetic personality that made people like him for his few faults, rather than in spite of them. My own personal sorrow is for his grieving children, now motherless and fatherless and for Chep Morrison himself, who regardless of all the honors heaped upon him never was able to realize -his No. 1 ambition to be governor of this state. My own personal consolation is that some of the very things that defeated him here on earth his unwillingness to promise umpteen phony jobs, his loyalty to his church, his compassion for the Negroes all these things will now bring him the biggest victory of all in the hereafter eternal peace! POTPOURRI Our good friend, Bob Angers, who is editor and pub -Usher of the Franklin Banner Tribune, is in quite a dilemma these days.

In an unusual editorial Sunday, Bob asked his readers WE NEED LOTS AND WE WILL PAY CASH FOR THEM! Seems that members of the Third District Committee of the Republican Party have asked him to offer himself as a candidate for Congressman from this district. He went on to say that he is net seeking the office and has no illusions about his chances of winning in the event he did run. idea of being in Washington for a protracted period of time 'Is personally distasteful to me."
