T. Foster, Jr. Mr. Foster was the founder of Messina postoffice, and bad only recently been appointed to the office of Justice of the Peace, which position he filled in a highly commendable manner. Prior to his last and fatal attack of illness he had in contemplation a number of plans for the improvement of the business portion of Highland, in which he was greatly in terested and in whose prosperity he took pride.

His loss will be greatly felt by our community, all of whom join in tendering their sincerest sympathies to his sorrowing family. The above was taken from the Times- Index Highland correspondence, and no better tribute of respect could be paid to the deceased than is spoken above. Mr. Foster was a young man of flawless character and one who made friends wherever he went. Our county could ill afford to lose such a citizen.

Tbe Methodist Camp-Meeting. The children's day was a great success. A large delegation came from Riverside, and another from Redlands. The ad dresses by Rev. E.

Jesus taught us the Golden Rule: He taught us tbe fatherhood of God. Jesus was a perfect man; he never made a mistake he never spoke an unkind word. We are getting more Jesus into our theology.
