riABTOTlIAi Kind ton have Wwavs Bo en a a STILL AFTER IS BUG Tenth Fire On Premises of the Doomed Redlands House Gives Residents In the Vicinity a Shock. The tenth fire of an incendiary origin occurred at the residence of Ed ward J. Brown of Redlands Sunday evening, and resulted In the destruction of an outhouse on the premises. As was the case in the nine other Mazes the culprit managed to set the fie without discovery, having chos a time when watchman was absent. The only clue the officers have Is furnished by a boy.

Herbert ter who lives with his parents on property which borders on the rear of the Brown premises says that shortly before the fire was discovered he saw short man in black accompanied by dog. leave the outhouse. This boy has reported before that he saw a man coming from the premises, on the occasion of the other fires, and in each instance his discretions have tallied. The firebug evidently keeps a close watch on the premises for a long time before he lights a fire, for in each instance he has been able to operate at the very moment when the watchman has been absent, and in this way escape detection. As to who he is the Redlands officers are absolutely in the dark, having from the first been totally bewildered and unable to cope with the puzzljng situation.

Worka On Nerves. The residents of the locality are In a nervous pitch. Mrs. Wolhautter is said to be on the verge of collapse. She carries abflut with her a loaded revolver, and last night tated that if she could manage to muster enougn courage at the crucial moment, she would surely shoot to kill, if any one was discovered about the premises who would not give a satisfactory account of his uresence.

This woman is not the only citizen living close by who is armed and de termined to kill. The general preparation to resort to firearms is what is handicapping the officers In a measure, as it makes their movements in the locality decidedly dangerous and offers little opportunity for an officer who is not known to visit the locality. The insurance company interested has employed a Pinkerton, but he has practically admitted being stumped. The Sheriff's office has the case in hand, and has kept "track of every clue that had been advanced, while making a personal investigation, and Sheriff Ralphs is not at all discouraged at the progress being made. Do Not crowd the Season.

The first warm days of spring bring with them a desire to get out and enjoy the exhillratlng air and sunshine. Children that have been housed up all winter are brought out and you wonder where they all come from. The heavy winter clothing is thrown aside tnd many shed their flannels. Then a cold wave comes and people say that grip is epidemic. Colds at this sea-pon are even more dangerous than in mid winter, as there is much more danger of pneumonia.

Take Chamberlain's Cough Remedy, however, and you. will have nothing to fear. It always cures, and we have never known a cold to result in pneumonia when It was used. It Is pleasant and safe to take. Children like it.
