a message from Sandusky's First Lady of Fashion I would like take this minute to urge you to attend the Miss Ohio Pageant on July 22nd, 23rd, and 24th. Not only will you enjoy watching the Pageant and the selection of the new Miss Ohio, but you will also be taking part in a project that is a great honor for the City of Sandusky. During the three days that the Miss Ohio Pageant will take place at Cedar Point, there will be representatives from towns and cities all over the state, as well as many guests from other states, in our community. They will take home with them their impressions of the pitality and good will of Sandusky and its residents. I hope that you will be among the representatives at Cedar Point when the attention of the state focuses on the Miss Ohio Pageant.

Reserved seat tickets are available at the Caryl Crane Shop, Bertseh Jewelers or at the Cedar Point Ballroom door. At By OSWALD JACOBY Newspaper Enterprise Assn. Any time you play a high card instead of a lower card in an effort to confuse or foil an opponent, you are false- carding. False-carding is a delicate art. The player who false- cards all the time is unlikely to fool anyone; the player who never false-cards is equally unsuccessful.

In our study of false-carding let's look at an automatic situation. West opens the king of clubs against South's four spade contract East olays the deuce and South should drop the queen without hesitation. West may continue anyway. If he doesn't South will get a to throw the three of on one of dummy's dia- nonds. If South held the deuce of olubs and East the trey this false-card would be an automatic giveaway.

West would look around for the deuce and realize that either his partner had signaled "come on" or that South was hiding the deuce. Incidentally, this false card was made possible only because East played the wrong card at trick one. He was looking right at two trump tricks and should have ized that he wanted his partner to cash any clubs he could and to do so right away. Saturday Till P.M. By ABIGAIL VAN BUREN DEAR ABBY: My problem is my wife. She has been go-, ing from one doctor to the next for almost 30 years When he tells her there is nothing wrong with her, she finds another doctor. The doctor and drug bills every month are tremendous. I wouldn't mind if she were really sick, but she isn't.

She carries a pocketbook full of pills in case she has some sort of "attack," which she has never had. She is up on all the known diseases, and is always looking for new ones. What is your advice? I'm sick of telling her that she isn't sick. HER HUSBAND DEAR HUSBAND: People who are preoccupied with diseases and imaginary illnesses are indeed "sick." Tell her present physician about your wife's history. Perhaps HE can convince her that she needs help above her eyebrows.

DEAR ABBY: To celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary, my husband and I would like to have a big wedding with all the trimmings. I want to send out invitations, have a white gown and veil, and everything, just like it was the first wedding. The reason for this is because we eloped, and realize that we missed something. Has anyone ever done this before? MY DREAM DEAR MY: I doubt it. White weddings with all the trimmings are for the first plunge only.

Have an anniversary party, but skip the gown and veil. DEAR ABBY: I am 14 and I like this boy. I don't want to find another boy because, well, you see, he's special! My problem is that he likes me only as a friend and that's not good enough. He likes a girl who is very sexy, makes average grades and has dirty hair. She is sort of cute, but so am I.

I am clean and make good grades and my friends say I have a good personality. Who do you think deserves him, and how can I get him? ONLY A FRIEND DEAR ONLY: It doesn't matter who I think "deserves" him. The other girl has him. Your chances for making a boy, who likes you "only as a like you in any other way are very small indeed. Settle for friendship, honey.

And don't knock the competition, or you won't even have his friendship. Troubled? Write to ABBY, Box 69700, Los Angeles, 90069, For a personal reply, enclose a stamped, self dressed envelope. MISS LONZ Miss Lonz To Marry R. Lando Mr. and Mrs.

Clifford Lonz, Rt. 61 South, Norwalk, announce the approaching marriage of their daughter, Marianne, to Robert LandoU, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Landoll, 48 State Norwalk. The wedding will take place on Aug.
