He gave advice as to the proper way to handle cars on the mountain and there was not a single accident despite the big crush of cars down the grade on Monday. The story has been read by iK'iieration after gnnoration and outside of East Lynue has probably had a greater record aa a play than any other play In existence. It is an offering that Is sympathetic, masterful, a play that touches the human emotions to such an extent that those who see it are made all the better for having seen It. The Templo has received many Inquiries as to the date of St. Elmo. St.

Elmo is therefore destined to draw a big audience at the Temple at all 'THE ETERNAL CITY' HAND OF THE OTTER' LAST TIME TODAY ISIS FEATURE TODAY AT THE OPERA HOUSE There has not been a picture produced in the last year, and only one or two that we can think of since the birth of the motion pictures that so fully illustrates the familiar phrase. "The field of the motion picture is unlimited." It is a short and easy sentence to quote, but the Famous Players Film company has proved it so in a manner which has never been equalled. Nothing would be more ridiculous than to compare "The Eternal City" with any other picture. It stands in a class by itself. In a class In Which others may be placed in the future, but not In the present.

When a picture is so perfect in every degree, when there Is really not a point which deserves criticism or any uncomplimentary words at all for that matter, it is very hard to find words adequate enough to express our true opinion concerning such, a marvellous offering. "The Eternal City" Is a visualization of Hall Calne's novel of the samo name. The story as presented in the picture is so powerful, so wonderfully constructed. Is so replete with powerful situations, that if there are any. who will not appreciate it they have no sense of the artistic whatsoever.

It is eight reels in length, longer than the average picture, yet it Is gripping, absorbing and tense all the way through, and each individual scene contains a little grip all Its own. Today matinee at tonight at 8:15, are the last two showings at the Opera House of "The Eternal City." I "In the Land of the Otter" Is the Isls feature for today. A very fine two-reel story of the -great northwest. It tells the story of a factor Who promises the hand of his daughter to the trapper who brings in the most furs. The hero is a quarter-breed Indian.

His catch Is the largest but he sacrifices the girl because i of his mixed blood. The husband turns out to be a bad one and some very dra I matic scones take place between him and Joe. This exerts a strong pull on the I Interest and contains some exquisite scenic effects. In addition to the above feature we are showing two other good pictures "The Terror of the Mountains," a Ro- nance drama and Ambrose Fury, a i good Keystone comedy. 'THE EAGLE'S NEST' "The Eagle's Nest" Is to bo the big picture at the Auditorium tonight and tomorrow night only.

It Is Edwin Arden's great play that has had such wonderful successes all over the Arden, the author and player, and Fielding, the directcr and player, CO operated on the play and the result was one of the most remarkable stories of its type ever filmed. Fielding's ability as director or big scenes may be seen throughout the entire picture, especially in the Indian massacre, one of tho most realistic, thrilling and spectacular motion views ever shown on a screen. Fielding planted his camera men on the side of a mountain and had the action on a plain One sees tho long wagon train of emigrants slowly ap proaching. Another sudden chunge and down tho side of the mountain, stripped to me waist, dauned with war paint and heavily armed, crawl scores of In dians. Other Indians, mounted on ponies, are seen silhouetted against the sky on thejnountain top, hurrying down for the battle.

The emigrants form a wagon -circle for defense and then follows the battle, It IsJntensely dramatic and remarkably well done. The Indians win and all of tho emigrants are killed with the ex ceptlon of a small boy, and It Is around this lad that the play Is built. The vaudevlllo for tonight Is all new and Includes Hong Fong, Chinese comedian; Itoy La Pearl, the singing black smith, and Gibson and Dyso, tho two English boys In a class comedy novelty. GRAY HAIR BECOMES DARKJHICK, GLOSSY Try Grandmother's Old Fa-vorite Recipe of Sage Tea and Sulphur. Almost everyone know that Sage Tea and Sulphur, properly compounded, brings back the natural color ani lustre to the hair when faded, streaked or gray; also ends dandruff, Itching scalp and stops falling hair.

Tears ago the only way to get this mixture was to make It at home, which Is tnuasy and Nowadays we simply ask at any drug store for "Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Tou will get a large bottle for about 60 cents. Everybody uses this old, famous recipe, because no one can possibly tell that you darkened your hair, as It does It so naturally and even- ly. Tou dampen a sponge or soft brush with It and draw this through your balr, taking one, small strand at a time; by morning the gray hair disappears, and after another application or two, your hair becomes beautifully dark, thick and glossy and you look years younger.
