OAl. FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, H9i. IT IS DESCRIBED IN DETAIL. PKOSIKCTl Of TIIK OKAN'ti V. HEI.T KLKCTKIC HO AO.

Dentrlptlon or the Noted riiicrs it Will Traverse A nliue Itallwny Itryoml 1'nrallel. Nothing in the way of industrial enterprises undertaken San Bernardino has occasioned so much public interest as the Orange licit F.lectriu Loop line, new in proceed of formation, Since the first announcement made by Tiik Si everyono has been talking about it and approving it and no small mini her of citizens have expressed willingness to aid it. With this feeling in the community, there is scarcely a doubt that the importantenterprise will be put through. Mr. C.

Zombro, who is working actively on the initiative movement has prepared a prospectus which adds detail to that(which Tun Sex has already pub lished. It is as follows There exists in San lten ardino county a series of popular resorts and sanitariums; the Arrowhead Hot Springs, tho new state insane asylum, the Kahcl and Ilarloiu Springs and the Highland orange groves district, which, aeide from being noted as attractive to tourists and recreation spots for the permanent residents of three cities, have a commercial feature as a freight line which is well worth taking into consideration in presenting the project of the proposed Orange licit Electric railwav. These places are so situated, geographically, that all can be connected by one line of railway, 'Jl ni'les in length, in tho form of a circle or loop, without traversing any territory that has not become noted the world over for its scenery, grand beyond description. TIIK I'ltOSTKlTIVi: IHAKl'Il'. Viewing the demand that has been for some time, and hich is constantly grow ing, for just such means of rapid transit as this will atl'ord, and considering that our tourist travel for the past season has been larger than ever before, (as it has been steadily growing for the past four years), it is beyond problematical that this railway will be the means ol 'at trncting great inlluence and wealth, which will make this valley the grandest in California.

As these resorts are the recreation ground and watering resorts for Riverside, Coltou, Redlands and San nnrdino, it will, in the course of time, be proiitahlc to tho projectors as to the property owners at present. KOKM VIION ok run it is proposed to extend the city streetcar line of the city of San three miles in length, from its northern terminus, six miles to the famous Arrow head Hot Sprirgs, seven miles distant from the city of San also to absorb the Ijiglihiinl Motor railway of six miles, in operation and running to the State Insane Asylum, and extending1 this for a distance of six miles, from another terminus of car line, in a circular manner so as to intersect the Arrow head extension, thus forming a loop at North San llernnrdino railroad station, and converting tho 'Jl miles into an electric system. The country through which this line ill run is very fertile, thickly populated and constantly growing in population. Highland has a population of luoo, which can be depended upon to patronize this line liberally. The trip that this will atl'ord will he unequalled novelty and grandeur in California.

Tin: itini: hksckiiikd. The line as proposed ill allbrd this trip. Hoarding an elegant electric car lit the Santa 1 depot, where (14 passenger trains arrive and depart daily, you will lido down the principal street of San Bernardino for one mile, ond passing the four hotels, four banks, the Union motor depot, where 111 trains arrive daily from Redlands Coltou and Riverside; then turning up the tiriin residence streets, past the opera house, and after one-half mile east ride through the fruit lands for a distance of four miles, where we stop at iho Rabel or Harlem Hot Springs, where excellent accommodations are found for either tub or swimming mineral baths, and groves of shade trees, allording elegant picnic grounds. The beauty and location of these grounds nllord excellent facilities for Bociety reunions, holiday sports and ri llo drills, and have been used for such purposes for years. is the sikkua's FOOTHILLS.

hoarding our car wo continue east for one mile to Messina, and turning lo the north, ride up one of the grainiest drives in California, viz: Palm avenue, with its famous orange groves, (lower gardens and beautiful residences on either side, for one mile, where we meet Highland avenue, whose elevation is liiOO feet. At this point we have an unobstructed view of the whole an Bernardino valley. Here we turn down west on Highland avenue, still among the orange groves, passing the new state insane asylum, and after a ride of three miles on this avenue wo meet tho Ar-i rowhead extension, here wo turn and travel to the north for a distance of four miles up grade, arriving at the Arrow head Hot Springs, bordering on the pineries of the majestic Sierra's, 'JiinO Meet above the Sea, and feet above the valley, ith Sim Bernardino, 'ol ton, Rcdlamls and Highland in plain view. The hotel here at present contains 100 rooms, mo I is a handsomely furnished frame Imildin, with numerous bathing houses detached, lighted by electricity and heated by boding water Mowing through pipes in the buildings 11 re also is found beautiful canyon pic nic grounds, witertalls, and tlio mud baths of Arrowhead are known the world over. From here divergent mountain trails lead up among the pines on the S.erriis.

Accommodations will he grently increased during the building of the electric road. MitiNi.ivo 110,000 tooki 11 KK. Now a 'JO-minute ride from Arrow- head will laud us at any of the hotels of San Bernardino, having completed thei elide. Hie trip can lie made 111 one hour and L'5 minutes. Considering the unusually favorable connections, it will have with other roads lending to this city, and connecting us with towns with an aggregate population of to-gethet with its circular form will make this the most union eh ctr'cid railway in the world.

Passengers from Jliver-side, liedlunds and Cotton will be eu- a i I allied to take the trip over the electrijul system without change of cars, at a reasonable fare. Mr. Zoinbro made a trip yesterday to Highland on behalf of the new enterprise. All whom he saw were more than gratified over the prospect, and no small degree of enthusiasm was manifested. Nor was the emotional the most important feature.

Several property owners subscribed without hesitation and without urginj-, and they will secure further subscriptions. Still, alter all, tho principal support will have to come from this city, but if expressions already voiced be a guide, a sufficient fund will be raised. CAMPAIGN ON "THE DESERT." The Averill Mixed Paint is the first mixed paint ever manufactured in the United States under letters patent.
