With the win. the Rebels improved to 12-15 overall, 1-0 in district. Centerville led 12-9 after the first period, but Midland had the 1 1 -9 edge in the second to close within 21-20 at halftime. The Rebels then had the 1 2-2 advantage in the third for the 32-23 lead. Midland finished with the 13-5 advantage in the fourth.

Scoring for the Rebels were Roberto Cavazos with 15, Korey a Vinny Testaverde but Midland finished with the 8-5 edge in the fourth. With the loss, the Pioneers fell to 6-14 overall, 1-1 in district.

Cecilia led 15-7 after the opening period and 33-23 at intermission after outscoring the Pioneers 18-16 in the second. Cecilia then had the 26-8 advantage in the third for the 59-31 cushion. Notre Dame had the 17-12 edge in the fourth. Scoring for the Pioneers were Ashton Poydras with 20, Keith Saltzman with 13, Stephen Fruge with four, Nicky Briggs with three, Scott Richard with two, Will Casanova with two, Lucas Simon with two, Aaron Burgin with one and Dantonio Simpson with one. The Cajun athletic programs are looking to obtain or borrow me morabilia such as uniforms, equipment, programs and other items to be used in displays featuring the university's sports history, and USL athletic director Nelson Schexnaydcr said that the best place to locate such items is from the people that were the biggest part of that history.

"Our former coaches and student-athletes are the ones that have been the history of USL athletics," he said, "and this is a way to honor them and the memories they have created. We want to take advantage of the Centennial celebration to show the rich tradition and the many outstanding individuals and events that have been a part of our athletic program." Part of showing that history will be displays highlighting those individuals and events from the university's first 100 years, with the displays hopefully stocked with uniforms, balls, gloves, pads, bats, clubs, rackets, spikes and other similar equipment, showing off all the program's sports teams. In fact, any items related to the athletic program will be gladly accepted, and many will be used in the displays. Schexnaydcr said that the USL athletic department is asking former coaches, student-athletes and other individuals to donate or loan some of their personal items to the he did not know any particulars.
