Thieves scaled a seven-foot wire fence and cut three strands of barbed wire to enter a yard at the rear of Bartle and Gibson Co. 11825 72 St. They forced a rear door of the building. After ransacking the office the thieves pried open a cash box and took about $40. Several counters were overturned and files scattered about the premises of Western Asbestos 11845 72 St.

An employee returning to work Friday found a rear door had been forced open. Nothing was reported stolen. After forcing open a side door thieves entered the premises of McKinley and Taylor Sheet Metal 11941 73 St. The doors to several cupboards were pried open and the door to an office also was forced. Several cabinets were ransacked and the files strewn about the office.

He is survived by his widow: one son, Michael at home, his mother, Mrs. Ann Mathieson, his sister, Mrs. C. J. Waters, both of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The funeral services were held from Foster McGarvey's Funeral Chapel on Thursday, January 27 at 3:45 p.m. Dr. E. J. White officiated.

J. Lafleche, 10138 112 died Thursday at the age of 78. Born in Ste. Anne de la Parade, Mr. LaFleche came to Edmonton from the eastern United States in 1906.

He and his brother, J. A. LaFleche, established the LaFleche Brothers tailoring firm. In 1921 Mr. LaFleche and his brother built, the present LaFleche that has since become one of the largest custom tailoring establishments in the country.

Mr. LaFleche retired from an active interest in the business in 1950. Mr. LaFleche is survived by his widow; one son Alfred, Ottawa, and a step-son, Emil Casaubon, Edmonton. The funeral service will be held in St.
