He is survived by his wife, Louise Duhamel, his daughters Heidi (Steve) Arden, Molly (Grover) Munn, his sister Karen (Rick) Stites, his brother Kurt (Mary) Haserodt and his granddaughter Alice Arden. Christopher was a Vietnam War Veteran and served as a medical specialist in the USAF from 1972 to graduated from Mercy College of Detroit, Michigan Physician Assistant Program in 1979 and served in private practice from 1979 to 1989. In 1989 he joined the Department of Veterans Affairs and served as a physician assistant at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, M.I. In 2009, he moved to Ottawa, Ontario with his wife and was one of the first physician assistants to practice emergency medicine in Ontario, at the Brockville General Hospital.

In 2010, he joined the ClaxtonHepburn Medical Center in Ogdensberg, N.Y. as an emergency medical specialist. Cremation has taken place and there be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers. Memorial donations are requested to the American Kidney Fund or the Canadian Kidney Foundation.

He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, Para Comrades and his loyal pets. Jack was proud of his service in the Royal Army Medical Corps in WWII. As a member of the British 6th Airborne Division, he parachuted into.

Normandy as a medic attached to the Canadian Parachute Battalion on the night before the June 6th D-Day invasion. He was always a well loved and respected member of the British Airborne Forces Association of Canada. Sincere thanks to Doug McLennan and Bruce Libbos for their friendship and support over the years. Born December on the family farm near Neville, SK. Predeceased by husband Gordon (2012), sisters Olive (1921). Orra (1984), mother Sarah (1984) and father John (1937). Survived by daughter Sandra (Brad), and son Harvey (Alma) and adored grandsons Andrew and Christopher, and by sister Frances (Don) McLaren of Yorkton, SK. Best known as Margaret served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in WWII.

She then trained as a nurse at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert. SK, graduating in 1949. That November she married her husband of almost 63 years. Margaret and Gordon became residents of Barrhaven in 1972 and had many extended family and friends there. They were founding members of the Barrhaven United Church and were active in it for many years.

In particular, the family thanks the staff at Longfields Manor for their warmth and compassion when caring for both Margaret and Gordon. A memorial service will be held at Barrhaven United Church (3013 Jockvale Road, Ottawa, ON) on January 13, 2014 at 2 PM, followed by a reception. The internment will be in the spring at the family plot in Henribourg. SK. The family asks that, instead of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada (ACS).

Nellie and Reginald. Dennis is fondly remembered by his many friends and colleagues in the education world. He began his career as a teacher in Brantford, Ontario, where he soon became a principal. At the age of 29, he took the position of Superintendent of Education in Renfrew County and nine years later in Halton County. In 1991 he was appointed Director of the Ottawa Catholic School Board, retiring there in 1998.

Throughout his career and after retirement, he continued to advocate for children as president of the Ontario Association of Children's Aid Societies, the Ottawa Children's Aid Society. the Canadian Education Exchange Foundation, the Catholic Education Foundation of Ontario and Child Youth and Friendly Ottawa (CAYFO). The Nolan Family would especially like to thank the staff in the Intensive and Acute Care Units and the Palliative Care Unit at the Civic Hospital for their extraordinary care of our husband and father during his final days.
