She died from multiple myeloma in Orillia on Wednesday, December 9, 2015. Lyn was an outstanding mathematics educator. Lyn graduated from Colorado Rocky Mountain High School, where she was the only girl on the ski-jumping team. After completing her bachelor's degree at Smith College, and her Master's in Education at Harvard, she began her career teaching math in Kampala, Uganda. She also taught in Connecticut and Massachusetts where she was a consultant for teachers in elementary school.

She completed her teaching career with the Public School Board in Simcoe County in Ontario. She was elected to the board of the NCTM (the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics). At a meeting of the NCTM in Dallas she met her husband John. They settled Orillia, Ontario to raise their family. They have three children, Jennifer (Ashvin Malkani, Alexander, and Zachary): Erik (Kristina, Rowan and Walker); and Neil (Honorine).

Lyn was an excellent skier, mountain hiker and an accomplished sailor. She competed in a number of international sailing races, including in Brazil and Argentina. She was very enthusiastic about weaving and at one time had four working looms. She co-founded a math game company called Concept. Lyn spent her summers at her place on Newfound Lake in New Hampshire.

She was active in the Newfound Lake Regional Association being on its board of directors, chairing the water monitoring committee as well as organizing the annual loon count. Lyn was a faithful volunteer with Hospice Orillia. Lyn was predeceased by her father. John McLane: her mother Blanche Marshall; and her brother Sandy McLane. She will be missed by her siblings Jock McLane, Bonnie Foz, Angus McLane, Gigi McLane, Towner McLane, Duncan McLane and Katie McLane; and her many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday December 14 at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. Orillia from 2 4 p.m. and 7 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Guardian Angels Church, 115 West St. Orillia on Tuesday December 15 at 1:30 p.m.

Ontario to her parents Adolph and Betty Drozda. She graduated as a nurse in 1967, and had a successful career as both a nurse and as a teacher at the University of Ottawa. She married Murray Mosher in 1974. That same year, Bonnie and Murray moved to Kemptville, where they started their family. Bonnie lived with Multiple Sclerosis and was surrounded and supported by her husband, Murray, her family, her faith, and her community.

OBITUARIES Passed away on Tuesday, December 8. 2015 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Paula, Cherished father of Jean-Paul, Terry and Peter. Remy retired from Ottawa Ambulance Service after 25 years as a Dispatcher. Remy inspired many with his impressionist paintings, his generous nature and sense of humour, and his great love of nature. He was most at home in the woods, in a canoe, on a beach or simply looking for what beauty could be found around the bend. He will be greatly missed by his family but his spirit will live on through them. Scotland, James met his beloved Jean at the Glasgow School of Art. When war broke out he joined the British navy. Jean joined the C.W.A.C, and at wars end they moved to Canada.

Married in 1948 they lived onboth coasts as James worked his way up theranks of the Canadian Navy. His final posting was to Ottawa in 1967. After his Naval career he joined National Defense untilretirement in 1992. With his fountain sense of of armed with a knowledge and facts, he spent many hours acting, directing and singing in countless O.L.T. and Orpheus productions.

He is missed by all who knew him.
