James Anglican Church, Rotary-Anns and the Kemptville District Hospital, she raised funds and was always there to help and support her family and friends. She began the Kemptville Players Group and directed over40 plays, taking several to the Eastern Ontario Drama Festival. Predeceased by Gil, her husband of 62 years, her son, Dr. W.L. Gilbert Hopson, and her brother L.

Richard Ebinger, she is survived by her daughter Carol (Dean MacKenzie) of Ottawa, son Mark (Andrea) of Toronto and daughter-in-law Ruth Hopson of Sault Ste. Marie. Born in Ottawa, Ontario Canada on December 2, 1931 to Thomas Clifford and Margaret Mary Meagher. Margaret Childs graduated in 1947 from Immaculata High Tubman iQ NEPEAN CHAPEL School in Ottawa. She later worked at the Bank of Canada and the National Research Council.

In 1963, she married Ronald James Childs and relocated to Sparta, New Jersey, where they resided until retiring to Florida in 1 992. Preceded in death by both parents and brother Donald, Margaret is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ronald James Childs, son Steven and his wife Jean, of Lakeville, Minnesota, daughter Marilyn and her husband Paul, of Sandwich, GARON, Q.C. The Honourable Alban Passed away tragically on Friday, June 29th, 2007, at the age of 77. Beloved husband of 36 years of the late Raymonde Garon (nee Lurette), also deceased on June 29th, 2007. He was bom in St.

Lambert (County of Levis), Quebec on March 4th, 1930. Son of the late Willie Garon and of the late Amerilda Goulet. He will be sadly missed by Maria Elena Duran (Michel Rochon) and his goddaughter Marie Isabelle Rochon-Duran. Predeceased by his brother Paulin and survived by his brother Cyprien (Lucette Pepin), his brothers-in-law Jean-Pierre Lurette (Claudette Rollin), Richard Lurette (Gaetane Lachance), his sisters-in-law Suzanne Lurette (late Marcel Lanoue), Gisele Lurette Leveille. He also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, cousins and numerous friends.

He studied at Laval University in Quebec City and at the University of Ottawa. He was called to the Quebec Bar in 1955 and was named Queen's Counsel in 1968. He was a part time Professor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa from 1956 to 1978 and from 1986 to 1992. He practiced law with the Federal Department of Justice from 1955 to 1986 and occupied the following positions: Chief, Legal Services, Department of Public Works from 1959 to 1965; Director, Departmental Legal Services from 1965 to 1974; Assistant Deputy Attorney General from 1 974 to 1 982; and Associate Deputy Minister of Justice from 1982 to 1986. He was appointed Director of the French legislative drafting program at the University of Ottawa from 1 986 to 1 988.

He was appointed Judge of the Tax Court of Canada in September 1988, Associate Chief Judge in February 1999 and Chief Judge in February 2000. He was Chief Justice of the Tax Court of Canada from July 2nd, 2003, until his retirement in November 2004. Visitations on Monday, July 9th, 2007, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m.

She served In the Royal Canadian Navy as a Wren (WRCNS) from 1944 to 1945, working In Halifax, and in 1 945 married Robert F. DeGrace of Seattle, Washington. They made their first home in Seattle, and after several years there, and in Corvallis, Oregon, they moved back to Canada in 1952. Eventually they settled In Manor Park in Ottawa, where they lived for thirty years. Peggy was not only a busy community volunteer (sometimes relerred to as "Mrs.

Altar She was also a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, and a caring friend to many. She took up curling at the RCMP Curling Club In Ottawa and developed a love for this sport which stayed with her all her life. She was Interested In everything; politics, sports, community events, a good game of crlbbage, and, above all the well-being of family and friends. In 1 984 Peggy and Bob moved to Wolfville, Nova Scotia where they renewed old friendships and developed many new ones. In Wolfville, Peggy was a member of St.

Roma enjoyed a long and Illustrious musical career which began at an early age, As a young woman she participated In 1 5 broadcasts with the Montreal Philharmonic Orchestra. During her lifetime she won over 200 trophies, recorded 6 albums of fiddle music and composed many fiddle tunes including the Lake St. Lawrence Waltz and the Upper Canada Jig. She was a member of the North American Fiddler's Hall ol Fame, the Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame, and she was the Founder of Mostly Bows and the Junior Bow Benders.

She received the most entertaining fiddler award at the Canadian Open Championships In Shelburne in 1988 and the Canadian Grandmasters Fiddle Championship lifetime award. A highlight of her career came In the summer of 2001 when she played at Adrlenne Clarkson's Governor General's Garden Party at Rideau Hall. In addition to her musical accomplishments she served as the Past Worthy Matron ol the Order of the Eastern Star, Morrisburg, and the National Secretary of the Federated Women's Institute of Canada.
