-01312395 MACDONALD, Judi (Judith) Louise Judi Macdonald (nee Judith Louise Stevenson), 63, passed away on June 6.2016 in her Ottawa apartment, where she had lived for the past 17 years. Born in Middleton, Nova Scotia. on January 10, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Bessie Gertrude (Barkhouse) Smith and Chester (Ted) Stevenson, and predeceased by her loving stepfather. Reginald Wallace Smith. Judi attended Weymouth Consolidated School, Digby High School, St.

Mary's University, the de Lyon in France, the Alberta Vocational School (accounting). Algonquin College in Ottawa (Trauma and Addiction Counselling), and also earned credentials as a certified fitness instructor. She lived and worked in Halifax. Florida, Calgary, the Turks and Caicos Islands, and Ottawa. She is survived by her son Andrew James Macdonald (32) of Toronto, whom she deeply loved, and siblings Linda (Wayne) Sanford, Sackville, NS: Lois Stevenson and Gail Smith (David Cvet), Smiths Cove.

NS: twin Jerry (Dorthea) Stevenson, Bridgewater, NS: Steven Stevenson, NFLD: and Susan (Smith) Robertson. NS. She is also survived by her ex-husband. James Macdonald of the Dominican Republic, as well as many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Judi was a "sunny" person who loved laughter and had a sweet soul, a lovefilled heart and a free spirit, whose mantra was to live with "purpose, passion and peace.

As a volunteer, she shared her compassion and life experience with patients and families at the Royal Ottawa Hospital, the Riverside Hospital, and the Ottawa Civic Hospital Intensive Care Unit. She is deeply missed by her family and will remain in our thoughts and hearts forever. May she rest in the Peace she so deserves. The cremation of Judi's remains was facilitated by Ottawa Cremation Service in Ottawa to be later. distributed in Turks and Caicos.

Alice was a school teacher and an accomplished pianist who played at religious services and entertainment events throughout her life. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

After service with the Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve during WWII. Martin returned to North Bay, Ontario, to continue his career in the diamond drilling industry, eventually managing a very successful company. A long-time resident of North Bay, Martin later lived in Toronto, Fergus and finally Orleans. He also enjoyed many wonderful summers at the family cottage on the south shore of Lake Nipissing, and relaxing winters at Hobe Sound, Florida. Predeceased by his wife Margaret in 2011, Martin will be remembered fondly by his daughter Sharon (Andrew Leach) of Meaford, ON.

Born in Toronto, April 18, 1916, the daughter of George Harris Sherwood and Florence Nicholson of St. Catharines. Mary attended St.

Catharines Collegiate, Bishop Strachan School, and the University of Toronto (UC), where she met her future husband Norman C. Phemister, the dashing drummer with the Teddy Fyffe Orchestra. She was a member of Mulock House and the Delta Gamma sorority. Following graduation in 1941. she joined Longmans, Green publishing house in Toronto.

In 1942, she married Norman and over the years lived in Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa. Always a gracious hostess and ready to welcome anyone into her home, she enjoyed many happy times at Lake Memphremagog, Big Rideau Lake, Sarasota, and the Royal Ottawa Golf Club. Mary lived a long, full and active life, and will be sadly missed by her son George, her daughter Martha Edmond, her son inlaw John Edmond, and by nieces Barbara Francis (David) and Carey Barnard (Byron) and nephews Derek Oppen, Brooke Phemister and Scott Phemister (Ramona). She was predeceased by her husband Norman, sisters-in-law Jean Oppen and Dorothy Phemister, and brothers-in-laws Frederick Charles (Reg) Oppen and Ross Phemister. Heartfelt thanks to Dr.

David Esdaile who provided such excellent care over the years and more recently to Dr. Whatley and Dr. Bright. The Edinburgh Retirement Residence and especially Barbara Timpson of Home Instead made her life meaningful and active over the last 10 years.
