Harold began his career as a Lawyer and had a flourishing practice in Milton, Ontario for over titteen years. Harold was a great champion of the City of Milton and ran the Milton Tribune for several years.

He was instrumental in starting the successful coffee franchise The Second Cup. He wrote several books over his life, all dedicated to the concept of In the later part of his life he devoted mmseit to political and social activism, lobbying daily on Parliament Hill. In life he was generous and kind. Indeed, Harold your life was Good! GRAHAM, Sybil (nee Daubney) Sybil passed away peacefully December 1 0, 2007 at age 88, in the company of family. Beloved and devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a friend to all she knew.

Her strength, courage, and compassion were an inspiration to those whose lives she touched. Quick to help others but rarely asking for herself, she enjoyed lite, worked hard, was grateful for every day and was always ready to laugh. She loved music and animals, especially horses and dogs, and had a great sense of style. Early childhood polio only succeeded in steeling her determination to lead a full, productive and thankful lite. An Irish temper occasionally flared but quickly passed.

Forever ready with a waqer, Sybil never met a race track, lottery or casino she dian like, simple things gave her immense pleasure, and her pride in her family was unbounded. It was Sybil's wish to return to her beloved Montreal and a pnvate family memorial celebration of her life and interment will be scheduled in early 2008. Jean attended elementary and secondary school in Simcoe, Ontario. She earned her Bachelor of Music (Education) at the University of Toronto (1949) and attended Teachers College in London (1969). Along with Music, she taught French and Special Education at the primary level. In 1 978, Jean was President of the London branch of the Womens Teacher Federation.

Jean accepted compulsory retirement in 1992 and in 2001 responded to a yearning for the classroom by enlisting as a supply teacher to teach as opportunities permitted, which continued until June, 2007. She had many interests including music, flower gardening, photography, heritage buildings, genealogy, and embroidery. A private family service at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, London was followed by cremation. A public memorial service will be held at St.

Pauls Anglican Cathedral, 472 Richmond Street at Queens London, on Sunday, April 20 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception in the parish hall. Southminster United Church and the Gloucester South Seniors' since 1983 and was also active in shuffleboard, carpet bowling and bridge.

On Sunday, December 9th, 2007, Mr. Huang, Fa- Yang passed away at the age of 86 after a short but courageous battle with brain cancer. Bom in Guangdong, China 1921, Mr. Huang moved to Taiwan in 1949. 1989, after 45 years of service for China Post, Mr.

Huana retired as DeD uty Director General in Mail Operations, and immi grated to Ottawa, where he spent his remaining years. Mr. Huang will be dearly missed by his wife or a years, Mrs. Yau-Hua Teng; daughters, Catherine Yen-mey Yen and Woan-mey; sons, Yeh-Chiang, BrandonYeh-Homa. Patrick Yeh- Hao; daughters-in-law, Hsi-Fen Wu, Hwei-Chin Huang, and Shannon son-in-law, Frank Yen; and his grandchildren, Roger and Jennifer Yen, Shou-chieh and Shou-chia Huang.

(Bob) With great sadness, we announce the death of Bob (V.N.) Iyer, on December 20, 2007. Bob died peacefully with his loving wife, Raul, by his side. He will be remembered and missed by his children Nitya and Akhil, their spouses, Rob and Maria, and his grandchildren Priya, Kali, Alex, and Owen.

Bob was born and raised in India, and emigrated to Canada in 1 962. He had a distinguished career as an academic at carieton University, Ottawa, receiving a life-time teaching award, and the rank ot Professor Emeritus. Research was his passion, and he collaborated with students and colleagues around the world. Bob and Rami retired to Kelowna in 1 996. Bob took his intellectual acumen into different realms, including astronomy and Philosophy.

He demonstrated his athleticism at the Kelowna Badminton Club, in golf and yoga. He continued his dedication to community, both global and local, by activities such as travelling to Nicaragua to help build a medical clinic and volunteering in Kelowna with Hospice and the Caring Clowns of the Central Okanagan. Bob enriched the lives of many people through the course of his life with his insight, sensitivity and humour. We will miss you dearly, and will hear the echoes of your laughter at the family cottage, the source of so many happy memories. Gerald Le Dain was bom in Montreal in 1924, son of Eric Le Dain and Antoinette Whithard. He attended McGill University briefly prior to volunteering, at the age of 18, to serve with the Canadian Army in World War II from 1 943 to 1 946, as a Gunner with the 7th Medium R.C.A., seeing action in Holland and Germany in 1945. In 1946, he attended Khaki university in England where in a fateful debate he met his wife of 48 years, Cynthia Emily Roy.

After returning to Canada in 1946, he obtained a B.C.L. degree from McGill University, winning the Gold Medal. He pursued his studies in France, obtaining a Docteur de I'Universit from the Universit de Lyon. He was called to the Bar of Quebec in 1 949; becoming a Q.C. in 1 961 During the 1950s and 1960s, Gerald practised law in Montreal, with walker Martineau, and as a partner in the firm of Riel, Le Dain, Bissonnette, Vermette Ryan where he was counsel to the Attorney General of Quebec in constitutional cases, and in the legal department of the Canadian International Paper Co.

For eight years during this period he was a professor of law at McGill University. In 1967, he became dean of Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. From 1969 to 1973, he chaired the Commission of Inquiry into the Non- Medical Use ot Drugs. Two years later, he was appointed to the Federal Court of Appeal. He was elevated to the Supreme Court of Canada in 1984.

He served on the Supreme Court for four years and retired in 1 988. He was made a Companion of the Order of Canada in 1 989.
