Died suddenly January 29. 2009 as a result of a car accident, in London. Ontario. Received BA 1951, University of Toronto, awarded Governor Generals Medal for the highest standing in the graduating class. After raising four children, she returned to earn her MA at Carleton University, 1967.

and PhD, University of Ottawa, 1970. Joined Dept of English at Concordia in 1972, and taught there until 1989 attaining the rank of Professor Emeritus and Lifetime Honorary Fellow of the Simone de Beauvoir Institute. A staunch advocate of Canadian Literature and Womens Studies, she taught and published numerous articles in these two areas as they developed in the 1970s. She retired in 1989. in order to devote more time to creative writing and biography.

Published ten books, the final one being "The Mountain is Moving: Japanese Women's Lives 1947-1995" supported by The Japan Foundation. A long-time member of The Writers' Union of Canada, she wrote three acclaimed biographies on Leo Kennedy. Margaret Laurence, and William Kurelek (Ottawa-Carleton Literary Award, 1988). Thorneloe College, Laurentian University honoured her with a Doctorate in 1992. Married Lawrence Morley in 1950 (Divorced 1974).

Longtime resident of Manotick, Ontario until 2002 when she returned to Toronto. Patricia was predeceased by her son David in 1991 and will be sorely missed by her three children. Dr. Lawrence Morley PHD, (Golden, Colorado), Dr Patricia Morley-Forster. MD (Prof Ben Forster.

Ross and Helene (Missy) cherished Elizabeth and hope that whenever you hear music you will be reminded of our beautiful friend.

The son of Gladys (Larmondra) and Frank Kerr, Orviile is survived and will be missed by his two brothers Charlie of Toronto and Gib of California and was predeceased by his devoted sister Fran just a short time ago in 2008. Orviile will be fondly remembered by in-laws, especially Bunny (Cote) and Cy Marcellus, all of his nieces and nephews, as well as, a multitude of good friends and associates. Orviile spent all his 84 years in Ottawa and was immensely proud of his city. A very civic-minded man and a pioneer of Riverview Park, he lived his life with purpose and dedication and made a difference in his neighbourhood, which he loved so much. A highly decorated past president of the Rideau Ki-wanis Club, Orv believed in taking an active and enthusiastic approach to serving the less fortunate around him.

Also a past President of the Junior Board of Trade, Orviile spent 60 years as an entrepreneur in the insurance industry bringing a level of service and comfort to his clients unheard of in today's world. One of the delights in Orv's life was debating and public speaking, which he taught to many, including the Canadian Armed diversion was sadly taken away from him when he had throat cancer. His other love, perhaps obsession, in life was golf. Orviile was an avid member of the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club for over 50 years where he built so many terrific life long unfortunately, this pursuit was taken from him as well. These are but a few of the curve balls life threw at him.

but he carried on fighting with an undying attitude to accept, adjust and persevere with a humble gratitude for the good things he had. However, Orville's primary passion in life was his family and friends. He was a loyal and dedicated husband, a wonderful role model for his children and a devoted friend whom could always be depended on. We would like to extend our deepest thanks to the Doctors and Staff of the Geriatric Assessment Unit at the Ottawa Civic Hospital for their care and dedication and all the people at McEvoy-Shields for their kind help at this very difficult time. Barbara was a co-founder of Friesen-Kaye and Associates and served on the Nepean Public Library Board and was a vigorous fundraiser for several charities and service groups including the Canadian Diabetes Association and the Carleton-West Russell Historical Society. She was active in politics at the national and local level. Always a fighter, she battled many challenges including diabetes and heart disease.

She will be remembered for her strength, courage, unwavering faith, determination, and loving kindness. Andrew W. Maksymiuk and their teams; the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority home care team and the Riverview Health Centre, particularly Mary Ashcroft and her team as well as Dr. Edward St. Godard. Paul completed his Sr.

Matriculation at West Kildonan Collegiate in Winnipeg, MB receiving the Seven Oaks Bursary and the Gunn Scholarship in Chemistry as well as the Governor General's Medal. While obtaining his Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy and Microbiology at the University of Manitoba, Paul received credit for discovering a major breakthrough in cancer research by successfully growing cancer cells in a me' dium that scientists knew the exact composition of, giving insite into what cancer cells need to grow. After graduation he worked as a research scientist with the Dept. of National Health Welfare, Canadian Communicable Disease Center, Tunney's Pasture, Ottawa, Ontario. During his tenure he worked in various positions, including consulting for the National Research Council-Biology Division, Bacterial Vaccines and the Department of National Defence, CFB Cornwalis, Nova Scotia.

He assisted with research on whooping cough and the pneumococcal vaccine (being in charge of regulating this vaccine). He gave invitational presentations about the research in St. Louis, Philidelphia, Boston, Toronto and Montreal. Paul's most honoured accomplishment was being on the team of re MOULSON, Robert Scott 1923-2009 Peacefully passed away on January 28, 2009 at the Royal Victoria Hospital. Beloved husband of Margaret.

He was a member of the American Assoc. for the Advancement of Science, the Canadian Society for Immunology, the Canadian Assoc. for the Advancement of Health Sciences, the Ottawa Biological Biochemical Society and was the representative for the executive for the Canadian Communicable Disease Centre and a member of the Canadian Society for Microbiologists, Ottawa Valley.

Paul was a humble, brilliant man who had a great love for his family and was an ongoing support to those dear to him, especially his Mother. Paul had many outstanding accomplishments including a great love of the piano and pipe organ which he played at churches in Ottawa when called upon. He will be greatly missed. There will be a celebration of Paul's life at a later date in 2009. She leaves behind her children she adored, Halley and Ryan, her loving parents, Gilles and Mary Blouin, who took care of Sue as her illness progressed, her younger sister Michelle and her nieces, nephews and cousins along with an army of friends who laughed with her, cried with her and loved her even more.
