J. Roman Andrus of Provo, is the father of four children. His wife is the former Joan Cynthia Morrison of Provo. He is a graduate of BY High School and of BYU and his major is geography. He is a member of the Honorary Geography Society and is now in the S.

Air Force where he will be an instructor in Special Operations School at Hurlbuft Field; Fla. E. Richard Hart, son of Dr. and Mrs. Edward Hart, has received his master's degree in creative writing.

He is married to the former Mary Lou Cook of Sandy and they have one child. He is a graduate of of and of Provo High School where he was active in track competition, winning third place in the half-mile as a sophomore. Brent Jacob, who is married to the former Lynette Brinkerhoff of Provo, is the son of Mr. find Mrs. C.

R. Jacob of Salt Lake City. He has one child. A graduate of East High School and of of he is a member of Lambda Chi Alpha, Phi Sigma Iota and Phi Delta Phi. He was a member of the Union Program Council and was a Cum Laude graduate.

He will be teaching assistant at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, while studying for his Ph. D. His major is French comparative literature. Sherry Reese, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Robert Olson of Orem, received her master's degree in social work. She is a graduate of Orem High School and of USU. She is recipient of Blanche 1 IKE FUN PLACE TO SALT LAKE CITY Of the more than 900 students wbo are candidates for advanced degrees at University of Utah's 102nd annual conuxencement June 5, 24 of them are of special interest to residents of Central Utah. Eight of them are receiving their Doctor of Medicine Degrees, six will receive Juris Doctor degrees, two will receive Ph.D degrees and eight will receive masters degrees. The eight receiving M.D.

He is a graduate of Weber State College and of David High School and has conducted research for two summers, one year working at the Primary Children's Hospital with disturbed boys. He will intern at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Of Pleasant Grove His wife, Judy Ana Jackson Rigby, is the daughter of Mrs. Ella H. Jackson of Pleasant Grove.

She took the pre-medical course at University of Utah and is a graduate of Pleasant Grove School. While at of she was president of the freshman class in medicine. She has had one summer of research and will also intern at the Medical College of Georgia. Jerry Robert Rhodes, son of Mrs. Jean M.

Rhodes of Provo, is a member of the Honors Program in Medical School and of Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society. He is married to the former Geraldine Allen and they have one daughter. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University and of Nampa High School in Idaho. He will intern in surgery at the IDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. BYU Graduate The son of Mr.

After internship at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Don will go to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, for a three-year dermatology residency. Marden G. Dixon of Payson is ti.e son of William D. Dixon of Payson and Mrs. Ruth Christiansen of Mesa, Ariz.Tle is married to the former Carolyn Cope of Salt Lake City and they have one child.

He also has his Juris Doctor degree. A graduate of of and of Payson High School, Marden is a resident in forensic pathology at University Hospital in Salt Lake City, He has served two years in the Navy Medical Corps. Kent M. Creer, son of Dr. and Mrs.

Kenneth Creer of Springvilie, is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of BYU. He is also a graduate of Springvilie High School. He and his wife. Sue Chesnut Creer, have two children. Kent is president-elect of Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor fraternity.

He will begin his internship at the Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, in July, 1971. Juris Doctor Degrees Joseph I. Dimick is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Dimick of Orem and is married to a former Orem resident, Rebecca Huish Draick.

He is a graduate of Orem High School and of of where be received departmental honors in Kappa Tau Alpha, belonged to Delta Chi Society and was "Daily Utah Chronicle" staff writer. He was on the Intercollegiate Football Editorial Board. Richard S. Dalebout, son of Mr. and Mrs.

William H. Dalebout, is a graduate of BYU and of Orem High School. He and his wife, formerly Evelyn Jensen of Provo, have two children. Richard served a political internship at Hinckley Institute of Politics and was Moot Court finalist. He is in the law firm of Romney and Nelson.

Gerald M. Conder is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Morlin J. Conder of Provo.

He is a graduate of American Fork High School, Canadian. BDIAN fvtt. i. Seagram's Utah university he is a member of Phi Delta Phi law fraternity. He plans to enter private practice in either Utah County or Salt Lake County area.

Stanford Graduate John P. Ashtor son of Mr. and Mrs. Preston E. Ashton cf Provo, received his degree from Stanford University.

A graduate of Provo High School, he was studentbody president. He is associate editor of the Law Review and received the Bernard J. Stewart Scholarship for 1970-71. John will go into the Honor Law Graduate program in Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department in Washington, D.C. Robert D.

Lamoreaux, son of Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Lamoreaux of Provo, is married to Peggy Sorensen Lamoreaux and they have four children. He is a graduate of Provo High School and BYU and is managing editor of "Summation," a journal on Utah law published by the studentbody association. He will practice law with Kirton and McConkie law firm.

Michael D. Thorps, son of Lt. Col. (Ret.) aad Mrs. Dean W.

Thorpe of Logan, is married to a former Orem girl, Anita Bishop. They have one son. He is a graduate of Levittown High School in Willingboro, N.J., and of Utah State University. He is a member of the Intercollegiate Knights and will practice law in Utah or California. Doctors of Philosophy Kirk G.

Rasmussen, son of Mr. and Mrs. William K. Rasmussen of Arcadia, is a graduate of Provo High School and of BYU and also has his Master's Degree from the 'Y His wife is the former Evelyn Earl of Phoenix, Ariz. He has been a teaching associate at of in the English Department and will now be an associate professor of English at Salem College, Salem, W.

beginning in August. His Ph.D. will be in English literature. Val Hicks will receive his in music. He is a graduate of South High School in Salt Lake City, has his B.S.

degree from OF and his master's degree from the University of Southern California. He is assistant conductor of the University A Cappella Choir, assistant conductor of the University Chamber Choir and was elected to Phi Kappa Phi with a straight A average. Master's Degrees Mrs. Livingston is the daugher of Mrs. Isaac E.

Brock-bank of Provo and the wife of Lohr S. Livingston of Salt Lake City. They have five chfldren. She is a graduate of of and of Provo High School and is an area demonstration teacher and reading specialist. She is employed at the Exemplary Center WHISKY A total of 223 students will receive associate degrees and certificates from Utah Technical College at Provo at commencement rites set for Friday, May 28, at the Provo Tabernacle.

This is an increase of 44 over the 179 that graduated in 1970. Rites begin at 8 pjn. According to President Wilson W. Sorensen, the graduates now certified as qualified in their particular field, and jobs in those fields are awaiting most of those who wish them. The Utah Tech president snid the graduation list would Lave been larger except for a good many students who accepted jobs before completing their full requirements because of the demand in their particular field.

Commencement speaker will be Raymond W. Sundquist, General Superintendent, Geneva Works, UJS. Steel Corporation. The associate degree will be awarded to 83 students. This degree is given to the student who has completed a two year course in some specialized trade or technical area, plus some optional courses in academic fields.

The certificate will be awarded to 140 students. Earning a certificate requires concentration on just his particular trade or technical training, although he may have done some optional academic study. Certificates range from two years study down to a few months in some specialized courses. Graduates are: Auto-Diesel Trades Certificate in Auto Body-Robert W.
