In 1938, he came to the United States. Since 1949 he has become known throughout the United States, Canada, South America and Japan for his tours with Yehudi Menuhin. Mr.

Bailer also is a composer, having written quartets, songs, piano compositions and sonatas for violin and piano. He is at present a resident of Palo Alto, and professor for piano at Stanford University. He also teaches at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Joe Reidhead has issued a statement to answer questions raised at the recent school board budget meeting. The superintendent stated; "We think it is probably more important to keep track of personnel contracts and salary commitments than a package of pencils a ream of paper or other supplies and equipment. And on the way home Thursday they will stop at Manti to view the pageant, "The Mormon Miracle." Those that do not take the tour will be entertained at the Eldred Center with an afternoon performance of "Johnny Tremain" a story of the Revolutionary War era. Four Provo Boy Scouts recently received their Eagle Scout awards.

They are, Ronald Tanner, Dan Perkins, Glynn Wood Bennion and Ricky Lynn Campbell. Ronald, 13, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan K. Tanner and is a member of Troop 45, Bonneville Ward.

He serves as president of his Deacon's Quorum and has been scribe, treasurer and is now senior patrol leader. He enjoys sports and especially likes camping, fishing and hiking. Dan is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daryl Perkins and is a member of Troop 44 in the Provo 10th Ward, Provo Stake.

He has served as assistant patrol leader, senior patrol leader and patrol leader. Dan is a teacher in the priesthood and he swims on the Brigham Young University Dolphin Team. Glynn, 14-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Bennion, is in the Orem 22nd Ward where he is in the Teacher's Quorum presidency and has been in the Deacon's Quorum presidency.

LARRY BOLICK UV Hospital Gets New Pathologist Di Larry E. Bolick has joined the Utah Valley Hospital staff as pathologist and director of clinical chemistry. Until June of this year, Dr.

Bolick served for two years as pathologist and associate director of laboratory at the Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nev. Dr. Bolick received his pre-med training at Brigham Young University, El Camino College in Los Angeles and UCLA. He then attended Univers'ty of Southern California Medical College from 1957 to 1961 and interned at Madigan General Hospital in Tacoma, Wash. On a research fellowship in cardiovascular pathology, Dr.

Bolick received training at USC and later served a residency at Madigan. He entered the U.S. Army in 1961, serving until 1970 when he was discharged as a lieutenant colonel. He received the Bronze Star in 1969 while serving in Vietnam. Provo HS Class of 1942 Slates Aug.

Partridge of Provo welcomed their daughter, Mrs. John B. (Paula) Hoopes, and children, Janece and Bert, from Meadow Vista, who will be visiting for some time with them. Mrs. Hoopes and children, in the surprise visit, arrived in the private plane piloted by a cousin, Clark Partridge of Pocatello, Ida.

Mr. Partridge had been to Sacramento, for the start of the Powder Puff Derby in which his wife, Elaine, is participating. Prior to the arrival of their current guests, Dr. and Mrs. Partridge hosted their daughter, Mrs.

Raymond (Miriam) Jacobs of Sylmar, who has returned to her home. Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Bennett and Mr.

and Mrs. Bernard Walker, all of Orem, have acquired ground at Covered Bridge Canyon in Spanish Fork Canyon and plan to erect summer cabins there. This past weekend the two couples and their families have enjoyed an outing on the grounds, each comfortable in their respective trailers. Expected to leave on Monday were former Provoans, Mr. and Bill Demos, and their daughter, who reside in New York City.

The family has vacationed for the past three weeks with Bill's mother, Mrs. Mary Demos in Provo. During their stay here, other family members came to enjoy numerous picnics and other social events. Greeting the family were Bill's sisters, Mrs. Fred Clark, and her husband and family members from Heber, and Mrs.

Helon Campbell of Baldwin Park, Calif. Janet Stevenson, 10, daughter of Joanne and Dale Stevenson of St. George has just completed two weeks vacation with her at at Know grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bradford in Spanish Fork.

She was entertained at swimming parties, a canyon party and roller skating parties with her cousins in Spanish Fork. The highlight of her stay was a slumber party with all the cousins given by her grandmother Bradford. Dinner was served, games played, then beds were made for all on the family room floor and Grandma slept with them. Breakfast was served the next morning. Twenty-five family members were present to honor Mrs.

Charles (Ruby) Allred of Spanish Fork at a birthday party hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Endicott, held at the Castle in Provo. An elaborate dinner was served at 5 p.m. Games, music and TV rounded out the evening.

Mrs. Allred received many beautiful gifts from those present. Present at the party were Mi1, and Mrs. Donald Leek and family, Mr. and Mrs.

Clark Allred and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Allred and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Allred, and Mrs.

Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Cowley of Salt Lake City were week-end guests of Mrs.

Mrs. Imogene Timmons of Provo is catching her breath again after attending two family reunions during the past week. First she went with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Adams of Montpelier, and Mrs.

Leigh Clark of Provo to the William Adams reunion held in Monticello. Next was a trip to Parawan for a Gurr family reunion. Two of Mrs. Timmons' sisters Mrs. Afton Robinson of Montebello, and Mrs.

Wallace Skinner of Sunland, Calif. came to Utah for this event. Mrs. Skinner was the guest of her daughter Eileen and son-in-law, Dr. Gary Tolboe, while here.

All of the sisters also attended the golden wedding anniversary of another sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Griffiths. Mr. and Mrs.

Weston Garrett of Provo were visited by their sons and daughters during the past week as they gathered to vacation and greet parents on their wedding anniversary, June 30. Visiting were Russell and Kathryn Garrett and their four children from Midland, Kent and Ann Garrett and their baby from St. George and Miss Diane Garrett, who is a stewardess with Western Airlines. The family group had dinner at the Riverside Country Club on the anniversary. Ann also visited her parents, Mr.

and Mrs. Lob Collins, and Kathryn visited her mother, Mrs. Floronce Graehl. Mr. and Mrs.

Eiwood Davies noted their house seems quiet after the departure of their family members who were here visiting for a week. Joining them were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Meyer and their four children from Sylmar, and Mr. and Mrs.

Rex Whitehead and family. The group returned home Thursday. Mrs. Meyer is the former Diane Whitehead. A baby girl was born to Cyril and Adaline Schlink Haws in Mesa, on July 6th.

Local grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Haws of Provo. The maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs.
