It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Orville Francis Bigras on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of the late Rose Loving father of Steven (Beth Heinze) and Tanya Campbell (Brian). Dear grandfather of Tasha, Mischa (Amanda) and Tristan. Great-grandfather of Shane.

Born in Embrun (ON) on July 22, 1917, Simonne attended school and worked as a telephone operator for the telephone exchange, in her home in Embrun. After marrying D'Aoust on June 22, 1940, she managed D'Aoust Hardware Store for many years.

Peter Moncrieff (1937 2010) An accomplished life ended on December 31st at the Amprior Hospital. Left to mourn are his wife Sandra Duncan, children lain, Bruce (Heather), Cindy Morris (Robert Yeaton), daughter-in-law Margaret DeMerchant, grandchildren Cavan. Duncan, Aileen Duncan. Cameron Duncan and Meghan DeMerchant.

Peter also leaves his sister Kay Bennett (Alick) of Northampton, England, nephew Christopher Bennett (Andrea Norfor), niece Elaine Bennett, and twenty-four parrots. Peter is predeceased by his parents Peter and Elizabeth Duncan of Perth. Scotland. Peter was born and raised in Perth, and then educated at the University of Edinburgh graduating with a summa cum laude degree in chemistry. It was here his interest in making wine and beer precipitated.

He then moved to London to do research and dance the Charleston where he met and married his first wife Kathleen Pilgrim (1930 2006). They had a son but found opportunity there limited in 1962 he emigrated to Canada and settled Sarnia, Ontario's chemical valley. Four years later he moved with his family to While working for Dow Chemical, he authored books of which some were: Progressive Winemaking, Making Wines Like Those You Buy. Winemaking from Concentrates and Making Mead, selling hundreds of thousands of copies that are still available reprint today. He also plied his fine nose by judging in provincial wine guild competitions.

In Peter applied these passions to a second job by opening a forward-looking winemaking store called Chateau Duncan in an emerging market sector. As anyone in business knows, awareness of taxes is imperative; so as the chemical industry waned in he took classes at McGill earning his accounting designation and started a tax business Peak Services. Winning a government competition in 1978, he moved his family to Ottawa to work at Statistics Canada in Tunney's Pasture. Peter married his second wife. Sandra, 1990 and together they grew Peak Services into a thriving company.

enabling him to leave the government in 1993 and eventually employing twelve people at the 240 Argyle St. location. He retired in 2004 and moved to Braeside to enjoy his parrots at his aptly named residence, Winghill. Throughout all, Peter displayed a tireless work ethic and made quality his watchword. She was blessed with three much cherished children: Chris, Cynthia (Charles) and Peter (Mary Ann) and three wonderful grandsons: Paul, Tommy and lain. She also leaves to mourn her dear friend Walter Burgess with whom she shared her family, her friends and her of the arts and love literature, travel for over 25 years. Margaret was born Montreal, in and grew up Toronto and Preston, Ontario. She received a B.A.

in English Language and Literature in 1955 from the University of Toronto and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics in 1976 from the University of Ottawa. She was married 1955 and after 15 living in various parts of the world, the years family settled in Chelsea, Quebec in 1971 where she fell in love with the Gatineau Hills. The next four decades often found her in the Gatineau Park or at her cottage on the Gatineau River, cross country skiing, hiking, cycling, swimming, canoeing. During her 25 year career at the University of Ottawa's Second Language Institute.

Margaret developed the CanTEST, an English proficiency test still used across the country to to by new Canadians gain access university and the professions. Her love of travel and career saw her living and teaching in China, to and being invited share her expertise worldwide. Margaret's friends greatly enriched her life. colleagues addition to her devoted family, friends from her student days, her years the Gatineau, and her professional life, continued to provide friendship and support through her last months. She was grateful to all, including her nurses, doctors and it possible for her to caregivers, who made spend her last days at home.

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Lynn passed away peacefully at the General Hospital on December 30th, 2010 at the age of 37.

Lynn leaves behind loving husband Yanik Guilbault and cherished son Charles. Lynn was the proud daughter of Allain and Lucienne Doucet of Bathurst, New Brunswick. She will be missed by her brother Denis Doucet and his wife Jovette Bouchard, as well as their children and Georges of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Lynn was the dear daughter-in-law of Ronald and Monique Guilbault of Ottawa. She will be also sadly be missed by brother in law Sacha and his wife Sylvie Thibault and their children Kaelan and Carolynn of Ottawa, as well as brother in law Julien and his wife Suzanne McCaig and son Luke of Vancouver.

Lynn will be remembered dearly by many friends who have been extremely supportive and for which the family is most grateful. The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Goel and all staff from the cancer ward for their excellent and compassionate care of Lynn. Service in memory of Lynn will be held at the chapel of Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Avenue on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 11am. Beechwood 613-741-9530 toll frais 866-990-9530 June left this world unexpectedly and suddenly but peacefully at Glacier View Lodge. which was her tranquil home for. the past two years. on 24 Decerber, 2010. June was born Calgary to parents, JH and Keitha Dickinson.

Mother was the heart and soul of goodness, always putting others before herself and never complaining. After her parents retired to Victoria, she worked in a bank. She then met the love of her life Stan Lesley and they were married in Victoria in 1950. They then moved to Toronto, before finally settling in Ottawa, where they raised four sons. Mother was an excellent cook and of amazing manager the household, especially an expert in her fiscal skills.

She ensured the family all had the foundation and support necessary to achieve success. Stan and June retired to Courtenay, Gartley Point in the 1985, where on waterfront they created a stunning beautiful and complex garden. Mother especially loved watching her hummingbirds and also was also an avid hiker in the mountains well into her seventies. She especially enjoyed figure skating, garage sales and was consummate reader favoring Nora Roberts. her later years, mother suffered the terrible predations of depression.

But then mercifully, was taken from this earth to more peaceful place. June will be immensely missed by Stan Lesley, her husband of sixty years and her children: David (Marie-Andree Lajoie), Gordon, Peter (Bonnie Wilson) all of Ottawa, Ont. and Stephen of Courtenay; her grandson Simon Lajoie-Lesley and Leisha, her Shih-Tzu constant companion.
