W. L. Fulton. Friday afternoon a -watermelon feast was given by her mother at their home. Guests included Mrs.

Bonnie Donahue and sons, Jerry and Tommy, Melanie Jayne -and Mr. and Mrs. Fulton. A partv was held Melanie that evening at the Phoenix home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs, Curtis Boirum.

Fultons. Mr. and Mrs. ioren Heinle and family returned home Sunday from a two weeks' vacation at Oak Creek Canyon and Clarkdale. They visited Mrs.

Davis is in the naval hospital there. Mrs. Davis and daughter accompanied her parents to Casa Grande for about a month's visit. Mrs. L- O.

C. Stmman of White Deer, Texas, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Phyllis, to Robert- C. Wells, son of Mr. Claude Wells of! Casa Grande, Arizona. The wedding will take place October 2nd in the First Presbyterian Church of White Deer.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Colorado Woman's College and Texas University, She did graduate at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. Presently she is, working in the Migrant Ministry of the National Council of Churches. Mr. Wells 'attended Arizona University and served for two years in the United States Army Air The couple plan to make their home in Casa Grande, Arizona, where Mr. Wells farms.

Miss Elinor Thornton and Miss Marlene and Buddy-Hoef were entertained at a Birthday Dancing Party Friday evening at Rebekah Hall With Misses Lena Lem- beth and Margaret Levario jas hostesses. 'Elinor celebrated her 17th birthday and Marlene and Buddy celebrated their 18th birthday anniversaries. Dancing to popular records was" enjoyed by the 40 young people attending. Birthday cake and ice cream were served the guests. Harry Goff and Larry Knight will spend the week end at Flagstaff attending the Arizona High School -All-Star games.

Week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Haynes were Haynes' brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Hsynes and two sons of Mesa.

Dr. and Mrs. Glenn Hamman spent the week end at Globe where they met Dr. Harnman's mother, Mrs. Clara Hamman of Safford.

Burge. The Morgans are house guests of the Homer Ridgeways. Mrs. Elmo McCoy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, arrived Monday morning to visit her cousin, Mr. and Mrs W.

Giles and family returned home Friday from Denver, where they spent two- weeks visiting Mrs. Giles parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Wallert, and Mr. Giles' parents, the Wayne H.

Giles, and other friends and relatives. Mrs. Norman Covault of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, left for her home last Wednesday, after spending a week visiting her brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Johnson.

She had also visited her daughter, Mrs. Carl North at Mesa. and Mrs. Henry Olsen of San Diego left Monday afterrvisit- ing over the week end with Mrs. Olsen's sister and brother-in-law, Mr.
